Stay in Mother Hogan was the highlight of our trip. Rosalyn and her daughter were great hosts. We were able to know the Novajo tradition and cultural values. Rosalyn took pride in sharing Novajo tradition. She was very accommodative and we enjoyed food too.

One of the best stays we had through Airbnb! Rosalyn and her daughters were very kind and told us lots about their culture during dinner (the frybread is delicious). The night in the Hogan was most cosy - I feared the cold in the night but the stove works perfectly. Another plus: Ziggy the cat spent the whole night with us. :)

Our stay at the Mother Earth Hogan was one which will always be remembered with much fondness. Having spent 2 nights in this lovely, peaceful and unique setting it was tough for us to leave. The Hogan itself was absolutely enchanting making one feel at peace with the World. The night sky, clean clear air and morning sunrise viewed from the Hogan was spectacular. The Hogan is located in a quiet setting affording one views in all directions of it's beautiful landscape. The morning breakfasts were a great start to the day. Rosalyn recommended a fabulous guide by the name of Ray to give us an up close and personal tour of Monument Valley. In the evening we enjoyed our conversations with Rosalyn after finishing her homemade Navajo Tacos accompanied by her Herbal Tea. We felt at home and would love to visit again. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you Rosalyn. Henry & Amy

Mother Earth Hogan was fantastic! Rosalyn’s hospitality, the beautiful inside structure of the Hogan, the delicious tacos & tea, the snuggly kitties that decided to overnight with us, the amazing view in the morning... it’s a stay we won’t forget, and became a highlight of our loop around the Grand Canyon. Rosalyn shared some of her native history, and we got a good feel of the life of the Navajo, past & present. Really loved it. If you want a great backcountry tour of Monument Valley, ask them to set you up with Ray. He gave us a great tour that didn’t feel cookie cutter like the ones available at the visitor center... climb up into his very care-worn vehicle for a wild ride to some amazing spots! Thank you again, Rose, for making us feel so welcome, and sharing just a little piece of your life & culture... if we’re ever in the area again, we will be back, and will stay for longer!

Rosalyn is a fantastic host! We had some difficulty finding the Hogan but it was because we followed GPS. Definitely follow the instructions she gives you! We were warmly greeted when we arrived and was offered a home cooked meal of Navajo Taco Salad, which was perfection! I hope to stay at Mother Earth Hogan again soon!
