Magical place - this beautiful permaculture property is perfect for a mindful, quiet stay. Fantastic gardens, great location and friendly, interesting community. Nice, clean, comfortable room (cool even in this hot weather). Good atmosphere! A few house rules to keep in account. Very much recommended. Thank you for a lovely stay

Thankyou for your lovely visit and appreciation of our grass roots guest house and organic property. We love the area and feel grateful to be able to develop organic/permaculture gardens in such a location and plan to continue to develop gardens and accommodation service as we are able. You are welcome back any time. Note we offer a 10% discount to repeat guests. Namaste from our little permaculture community

The permaculture gardens were great and the people at the property were friendly. Unfortunately many things originally described on the listing weren't included, and we could not contact the host before arrival or heard from him while we were there. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived in the evening and someone who wasn't the owner who lived on the property was kind enough to help us out. This place has a lot of promise but needs a lot of attention to detail and basic cleanliness/upkeep. We hope that these things will be addressed for future guests as it can be a wonderful place to stay when things are cleaned and restored. Bed especially needs replacing, was quite hard and uncomfortable, and better communication needs to be prioritised.

We were delighted to discover this patch of Earth, which represents a fantastic work of sustainable forest permaculture in action. An ongoing work with a beautiful vision, surrounded by lush and bountiful forest, run wonderfully compassionate and intelligent humans. You will certainly need organic insect repellant and a backbone as it is a bit grassroots at this stage, but I have a feeling one day there may be some more luxurious options on offer. :) This is a place to come and learn the old ways, and return to our roots as masters and commanders of the soil. Be sure to get le grand tour from Iain, and look into taking his permaculture courses - as we plan to do when we return next year. It's the first time in my life I had a hot shower outdoors amongst bamboo with roosters cock-a-doodling and had healing red clay squish in my toes as I slid down a muddy wet hillside. The forest comes alive with sounds, generating a feeling of life within you. It becomes more profound when you realize how much food is growing around you, and will surely make any city dweller feel small. If you are prim and proper, I advise you bring any mod cons along with you, as Kin Kin doesn't have much but a wee store and pub. At 40 mins from Noosa, it's easy to return to the first world if one requires. This is for people seeking an experience, or high knowledge - just be sure to ask for a fan to keep the room cool at night. You also won't be amiss with a torch to light up the night sky. I admit I nearly left at first, but once we stayed a bit longer, I've never been more certain of finding a place that I'd love to live someday. While it may be barebones, there must be something special there or I wouldn't feel that way on AirBnB. Go find out for yourself.
