Welcome to our private retreat! Our 5 bedroom home is nestled among trees & trails, just a short walk down the drive to a shared beach on Echo lake. Casual, lived-in atmosphere. Ideal for entertaining groups of 6-10 in all seasons! Dogs welcome :)
This house is modest and spacious with great areas for dining inside and out. The bedrooms are tastefully appointed and include linens. Hot tub is being installed for November and rental price has been updated to reflect this new amenity. :)
We are surrounded by trees and peace and quiet situated on 20 acres that abuts crown land. Its a great spot for hiking, or even camping. If you want to stay close to our amenities, we have a great deck with BBQ and surrounding yard to entertain on. It is a perfect spot for ATVs or Snowmobiles as it is conveniently located on Trail 4 which leads to the main OFSC Trails ( Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs) - There is also ample parking for trailers of all kinds. Sleds can be stored in our garage which also has a wood stove.
Boaters can launch on our lake at the public launch, or enjoy big lake boating at the launch for Lake of Bays only 5 mins away! Our beach is small, but a lovely area to swim. it is shared with another cottage but is most often private. We have inflatables and beach toys for your use. We own a couple of kayaks that can be arranged for use for a small day rate. Other rentals can be arranged in the area through local businesses. We would be glad to assist!

Please note that this is our home, not the Hilton. We have a casual comfortable space that hopefully will feel like home to you too. Or home is older and has character. The bookshelves are stocked with interesting reads, and we have a games shelf for your use. Because it is a country home, there will at times be insects. For example, in the summer there are often ants and spiders in small doses and mosquitoes are bad in the evenings. During the winter months we heat with our furnace and primarily wood stove. We are happy to teach people how to use it and do stock convenient fire starting logs.
A gentle reminder that this is a rural property on a rural road. Seasonally guests may encounter snowy, muddy, or buggy conditions :) Just like at the cottage! We do ensure as hosts that we reach out to inform our guests what Mother Nature is doing and ensure they are prepared ahead of their travel.
Our Tap water is safe to drink - some guests may prefer to bring bottled water.
OUr dogs live here- but of course are vacated along with us when we list our space :) We make every effort to ensure we leave no trace- but wish to remind our guests with allergies that our pet friendly home may not be suitable for some.
We gently remind our guests that we are on a septic system and ask that only toilet paper is flushed down the toilets. :)
Hot tub Rules: use of hot tub is at guests own risk. Please use responsibly. No more than 5 adults at one time to maintain appropriate water levels. No food or smoking in the hot tub. No glass beverages. Plastic or can only Please. Drink table is provided.
Our wireless internet is on satellite and not suitable for streaming and downloading at this time. Business and light use only please.

Greetings fellow travellers! This is our home and retreat space. We are pet friendly. Our home is a place to chill, entertain. We hate for the house to be empty and enjoy renting it out on weekends or longer term stays when we are travelling ourselves.
We live humbly with great respect and admiration for nature, simple pleasures and also for the finer side of food and beverage.
On the flip side, we surf, snowboard, ski, hike, camp, and generally like to play.
When travelling, we are drawn to people, and new experiences. Always open to adventure!
You are invited to make yourself comfortable here in our little piece of Muskoka. We want to share it with those looking for a way to live the local experience here and enjoy being out of the city.
