Our cottage is close to the charming market town of Bungay, near to Southwold beach and Norwich city with cobbled streets, cathedrals and castle. Framlingham castle and Lowestoft beaches are also nearby. You’ll love my place because of its rural location, with beautiful views and footpath through meadows. Our home is a 3 bedroom country cottage, with loads of character, cosy family space, garden (with football goals!) and a big patio. Our cottage is ideal for couples and families (with kids).

El alojamiento

We have loads of beams, giving the cottage great character. The kitchen is kept toasty and welcoming by the oil-fired Aga oven - makes the best toast in the world!

The Wash is a beautiful building, both inside and out. I stayed with both my daughters and their partners and we really enjoyed every aspect of the cottage. We were greeted by the host and given a tour round the building and garden. Most of the time was spent in the kitchen as we found that round so nice to sit round the table, playing cards and generally socialising, the Aga was an enjoyable experience to cook on. Sonia had though of everything that we may need during our stay, even a packet of biscuits to eat with a cup of tea on our arrival. The Wash is a family home, and the family pictures and children's painting made our holiday home feel like we belonged.

Fantastic house, lots of space and beautiful gardens. I would recommend anyone to stay in Sonia & James home. The countryside was stunning and there was lots to do for our children. Southwold was a short drive away and this was a good family day out with the nicest fish and chips we have ever tasted. The weather was great at approx 26 degrees so this just added the finishing touch to our holiday. Looking forward to another trip in the future.

A lovely idyllic cottage with views of open fields.Sonia was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us around, and how to use the Aga oven. We were very grateful of the kind gesture of the small essentials such as coffee, tea, milk , bread and chocolate biscuits waiting for us.

Sonia's house is a lovely home in the countryside. We found it perfect for our two families with plenty of comfortable beds for us all. The house is filled with character with exposed beams running throughout both floors. The kitchen is large with a nice table in the middle. There's a fantastic Aga stove that works amazing well and we used it each night we were there for both cooking on the stovetop and heating things in the oven. Sonia was kind enough to put a heat guard around it to protect our small children. The kitchen had all we needed to make meals. The upstairs has some views of the lovely fields behind the house and there are several footpaths that go in different directions. There is a football pitch which our kids made use of a lot and a lovely covered sitting area in the front of the house. You can walk to St. Peter's brewery from the house. Well worth the trip. We had a lovely sunday lunch there and the food was delicious. Bungay is a charming town and just a 5 minute drive. We also drove about 20 minutes and spent an afternoon at the beach at Southwold. It was a wonderful getaway if you're looking for a country retreat.
