Turgut is a great host, very polite and nice, and the apartment is in the best part of Istanbul, an area close to restaurants and bars. A vibrant boulevard, but at the same time calm and silent. THE FROM THE APARTMENT VIEWS ARE AWESOME!!! Also Turgut works very near to the apartment, we had a little problem with the heating machine and he came in a few minutes and solve it quickly. If we come back to Istanbul we will repeat.

I'm going to start with the negatives about this place and end with the positives, so it can end on a high note. I hope this helps someone. This apartment is rented out by people at the hotel Palazzo Donizetti. Instead of being given public transportation directions to the apartment, we were told to take a cab to the hotel for check in. Once we checked in at the hotel, a bellhop hiked us a little more than a quarter of a mile uphill to the apartment. We were thankful to have the bellhop because he took our bags and even carried them down the stairs by the gate and up the 5 flights of stairs to the apartment. Yes, five winding flights of stairs. The stairs are not the same width all the way through, either so you have to be very careful. After a full day of walking and sightseeing, the last thing we wanted to do was hike up those stairs. Don't expect a personal experience like you get at most locations. Expect a standard hotel check in with no information about the place except for the wifi password. We had to try all the available networks before figuring out which network it even was. We also had to go back to the hotel after our first night out to find out the address back to the apartment. Nobody knew. Instead a bellhop walked us to the apartment. There are cats everywhere. They don't belong to anyone but the freely roam the building. The stairwell and terraces smell like cat piss and cat fur. If you love cats, this will feel like home. Before booking, we specifically asked about the strength of the wifi. We noticed another review mentioned it was weak, but this review was from 2014 so we wanted to see if they had everything straightened out yet. The response we got was "yes, the wifi is strong." We explained this was of the utmost importance since I needed wifi to conduct my business meetings and continue to work with my colleagues in the U.S. The wifi was so extremely weak that we had to go back to the hotel lobby a few times to use the Internet. It's also hard to map out your day or look up sites with virtually no wifi in the apartment. The wifi is weak. I have no idea why they said it was strong. You have to check out back at the hotel, so be prepared to roll your suitcases back over to the Donizetti for that. It adds extra time to your departure. The good: Great location. The apartment is exactly as pictured. Hotel amenities such as slippers. The AC is strong. Bed is comfy for International standards. Hot water. The cat smell doesn't permeate into the apartment, thankfully. Nice views. This apartment would be perfect if the wifi was strong and it had an elevator. When we return to Istanbul, we will look for another place...

Me and my wife did have a really good weekend! And as you know all those little things make a total one... Even so, we are not first & second times in Istanbul (and all the times we'd been positively surprised) this time was not an exception. We book the apartment very easy, means get a quick feedback from Erdinc. The communication was very smooth. All the information we needed we'd get. In Istanbul we met Erdinc in time (He was waiting us with smile). I don't know why but the apartment we book was upgraded for more comfortable one (lots of Thanks). If I'd say that the apartment was so nice, that we wanted it to live in for real..Lovely Location-Quiet, easy to get to everything.. Super big bed, nice equipped kitchen with all the utensils, dishwasher, washing mashine, wi fi,TV,DVD, vacuum cleaner, sofa...and a big leather Chair)))). Everything was perfect. Defenetely come again and again!!!!!!!

We actually ended up staying in the one bedroom apartment 102, which is in the same building as 103. The location is absolutely perfect, 2 min from Galata tower, 2 min from Istiklal Street, there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around, you can have breakfast at Privato Cafe just around the corner, location wise it does not get better than this. The tram is 2 min away, and it will take you down the hill to the bridge, from there is about a 20-30 min walk to sultanahmet square. The apartment was well equipped. Internet connection is very slow and sometimes it just does not work at all, they did reset the router but it didn't help at all, the connection ended up getting better on our last day just because. The TV only has one channel, in turkish, so pretty useless, they did try to fix it unsuccessfully, they were supposed to come back to fix it but that never happened(these are minor issues). I would definitely recommend it, the locations is great, the apartment is beautiful and very comfortable, we loved it!

This is probably the best possible location you can get in Istanbul, just few minutes from Galata tower. The view is absolutely amazing, you can see historical part of the city and Galata bridge. Also in very close area are various bars, restaurants and clubs so you don't need to use any kind of public transportation. Apartment is located on the fourth (last) floor of the building in quiet area. Security is excellent, you will need a key to enter the garden, password to enter the building and a key for apartment itself. Apartment is equiped with washing machine, dish washer, fridge, TV, hair dryer and iron. It's very clean and the bed is very cosy. Erdinc was very nice host and I would always recommend this apartment for stay.

The apartment is in the most mystical garden in the whole Taksim area... I've always seen the doors to this garden and wondered about the inside... In the middle of all Galata/Karakoy action but quietly isolated... beautiful place and breath-taking view of the Galata tower...
