Once you have settled in downtown Bucharest, you will be relaxed and ready to enjoy the local attractions such as casinos, restaurants, pubs, clubs, live bands, the old town , theaters, shopping malls and cinema to mention but a few.
The old city is 7 minutes walk on Calea Victoriei Avenue.
The nearest tub station is about 3 minutes walk - Piata Romana.

Known for its wide, tree-lined boulevards, glorious Belle Epoque buildings and a reputation for the high life, Romania's capital was once known as the "Little Paris". Bucharest today, like any big capital, is a bustling modern metropolis full of life and diversity. Touting a rich and full history, Bucharest offers attractive opportunities to enjoy and explore.

Romanian legend has it that the city of Bucharest was founded by a shepherd named "Bucur", whose name means "joy". His flute playing reportedly dazzled the locals and his hearty wine from nearby vineyards endeared him to the local traders, who gave his name to the place.

Remodeled, in the late 19th century, by French and French-trained architects, Bucharest even features a Triumphal Arch on the elegant Soseaua Kiseleff, a boulevard longer that Paris famous Champs-Elysees. Much of Bucharest's past can be seen along Calea Victoriei and Piata Victoriei and the streets leading from them. Some of the points of interest on Calea Victoriei are The National Museum of History, The Romanian Athaeneum and The Royal Palace ( very close to the apartment) known also as The National Art Museum, George Enescu Palace and The Museum of Art Collections.
Today, Bucharest – the capital and largest city of Romania – is experiencing renewed vigor. The city reflects an interesting heritage of mixed cultures influenced by: the old Romanian aristocracy educated in France, the German King Carol I, and the communist society.

Bucharestrent wish you a pleasant stay in our apartment.

Bogdan is one of the professional hosts in airbnb, so I claim a bit more strict rules and standards as I would accept for a private host. Overall, I am not satisfied with Bogdans offer. But in details: The studio is very central located. Cabs are most of the time in front of the building available, so transfer to airport is given. The apartment is quite nice furnished. The kitchen is sufficient equipped if you plan to visit the excellent restaurants in the old city for lunch and dinner. The apartment would like to appear posh - but it isn't: The cleaning service should be improved. Dust is the minor problem, more irritating that we found a opened Condom box in the bedside locker. Together with some "nice" ladies in the entrance of the house, the posh ambient of the apartment turns into "cheap". The promised Internet access failed due reasons, Bodgan isn't responsible for (he explained). But anyway annoying if you need wlan for work and you couldn't - lost time and money. He offered me an inadequate solution (staying on the street in front of his closed office an use his wlan). Finally we agreed an abatement and I ask Bogdan for confirmation by mail. Unfortunately the confirmation didn't came 'til now. Conclusion: it is not gold that glitters ...
