Hi Andrea, we are surprised to hear this, particularly because you did not raise any concerns with us during your stay and we have never received negative feedback from other guests.
We care a great deal about cleanliness - we vacuum the carpet regularly, and ensure the bathroom, bedroom, and common areas are clean for each guest at our 2pm check in time. This is an affordable room in a 100 year old house, so yes there are some imperfections (a few spot stains on the carpet, scuff marks on the wall in the hallway, and some damage to the grout in the shower that is impossible to fix without a renovation). In order to keep offering an affordable rate, these are issues that we must live with. We did have an issue with the bathtub drain, which was fixed by our landlord last week.
Although we find this review unfair, we always want to hear feedback from our guests, and would like to encourage guests to speak to us directly if there are any concerns.
