Funky little 1915 era cottage with wonderful outdoor living spaces designed as a home away from home for those traveling for work. Two bedrooms and one bath, small kitchen and all you need for dining in or for meals served on the patio. Close to everything in Palisade-wineries, distillery, brewery, bakery, art galleries, library, river sports and bike rentals. Twenty five minutes to Powderhorn Ski area and cross country skiing. Lots of day trips within 90 minutes drive time.
The cottage is not child proofed nor are the doorways wide enough for wheelchairs. The cottage is cooled with a "swamp cooler" which is a window mounted evaporative system that is very effective in the arid, high desert of western Colorado. Sorry no pets.

The Cottage was originally designed for weekend winery excursions. After spending a summer out of state, on a contract assignment, we found there was a need for short term housing. The Cottage is now a home away from home for the rapidly growing "travel assignment" adventurer, or for the "I need a sanctuary" situation. Hence the 30 day minimum stay. Bring your clothes and lap top.
The cottage is filled with finds from all over western Colorado as I have not been able to give up the"thrill of the hunt" for the unusual. Many of the furnishings in the cottage are "twice loved" but the beds and linens are new. I enjoy finding and fixing decor items so the cottage decor changes frequently. Good thing I have a big cellar! My style is what my husband coined "Ardenesque"-vintage, eclectic, funky and nostalgic.
