Villa Spigby is an old farm from 1850’s, located at middle-hill and surrounded by a beautiful private natural park, in the heart of the Veneto region, of its history of its vineyards, far from the bustle of the city but not far from the city. Vicenza is UNESCO World Heritage listed. Corso Palladio, the main street that passes trough, is a fifteen century open-air museum. The Andrea Palladio's architectural style is everywhere: in the wondeful and unique “Teatro Olimpico” in “Piazza dei Signori” with the “Basilica Palladiana”, in the villa “La Rotonda” and in the several Venetian Villas all distributed around the Vicenza and Venice countryside. In half an hour drive you reach Padova, in less than one hour drive you reach Verona and it is so esy to reach Venice by train from the Vicenza Train Station! The house was renovated according to the directions of bio-architecture, in addition to silence and comfort, the bedrooms offer total safety to guests with allergies to chemicals, to synthetic fabrics, to electro smog pollution. A wide patio is available with sun beds for relaxing. Villa Spigby is located in a strategic position for both tourist and business stay and it is ideal for family groups of four people. Two rooms are available inside the house, this announcement refers to “MANSARDA” – The bedroom is located on the second floor, no lift. Double-bed + 1 chair bed comfortable for adult + 1 folding bed comfortable for young people. On request, we provide a cot at € 10,00. No TV in the room. Like the whole house, the room is built according to the guidelines of bio-architecture. The headboards of the beds are oriented on the North-South or East-West axis and no electrical wiring is behind the headboards. During the night, a circuit breaker interrupts the electromagnetic fields that disturb sleep. Exposed beams and all the wooden parts are treated with natural oils. Natural dyes wall. Natural water wax for tiles. The beds have latex and coconut mattresses, 100% wool blankets, 100% cotton linen and furnishing fabrics. Cleaning products do not contain any chemical. The shower has no cabin but a curtain because the cabin must be sanitized with chemical products, the curtain is washed and sanitized with natural products at guests’ departure. Free wifi internet, independent air conditioning and heating. The room room has its own private windowed bathroom with wash basin, bidet, toilet and shower. Bed linen, towels, bathrobe and hairdryer are provided as well as soap, shower gel, disposable razors, shampoo and make-up removal wipes. Housekeeping is every day, linen replacement every three/four days. 24 hours access. Bedrooms are for non smokers but smoking guests (provided they are moderate smokers!) can stay in the sitting room if whether is cold. Freee laundry service. Small and middle size pets are allowed (prior arrangement with the owner) and they can run in the park. Breakfast is included 1) Continental (sweet) breakfast: tea or coffee duly brewed by a moka pot, skimmed milk, (soja milk on demand), three-four choices of skimmed youghourt, three choices of bio-jam, fresh fruits, fresh orange juice, toasted bread, rusks, warm croissants, butter. 2) English breakfast: tea or coffee duly brewed by a moka pot, skimmed milk, (soja milk on demand), hard-boiled or soft-boiled or scrambled egg, three choices of cheese, cooked ham (turkey or chicken ham on demand), fresh orange juice, toasted bread, rusks, butter. Parking is wide and safe inside the park. The owners offer a roundtrip airport shuttle (Venice, Treviso, Verona airports) at “friendly” surcharge and the rental of a small car (Ford KA) at “friendly “ rates. Dinner on demand at “family" price.

Mi chiamo Giuse e vivo a Villa Spigby con mio marito Ilario e il gatto Orazio. A causa del mio lavoro come Export Manager, per moltissimi anni ho girato per gli aeroporti, alberghi, pensioni, locande, alcuni erano molto belli altri un po’ meno, altri ancora decisamente indecenti, tutti comunque freddi e anonimi, da fare venir tristezza e voglia di tornare a casa! Poi i figli sono cresciuti e hanno lasciato questa casa per fare la loro vita e sono andata in pensione e.....mi sono trovata in uno spazio grande e vuoto. Da qui l’idea di usarne una parte per gli ospiti, per continuare ad incontrare persone e (ammetto!) per coprire un pò i costi di gestione e manutenzione di una casa così impegnativa. Le camere a disposizione sono due, non sono state fatte apposta per questa attività, sono state progettate per i miei figli e sono rimaste le stesse. Quindi non sono fredde stanze dove dormire ma ambienti confortevoli dove soggiornare dopo un viaggio di lavoro, dopo una lunga e impegnativa riunione, dopo un estenuante giorno di fiera, oppure dopo una visita turistica stancante, dopo un intero giorno in mezzo alla ressa.
