Gracias Pili

It was a friendly flat with a fantastic location, almost at St. Peter square, short walk to Tevere. I can offer to anybody. There is a garage in the next house and Paola arranged to get a place for our car. We did not meet Paola personally, we kept the contact with her by phone. My wife and me really enjoyed our stay in Rome and in Paola’s fiat. Zoltán.

me and my brother had a great time at paola's appartment! she already waited for us when we arrived and gave us all necessary instructions about the apt. there were also some nice restaurant recommendations she offered. the apt. is spacious enough for 2 people, clean and well equipped. we had breakfast on one of 2 balconies every morning :) the location is perfectly fine in a nice and calm neighbourhood just 5min walking distance to the vatican. many restaurants nearby as well. all in all we felt very comfortable at paola's apt. and we can highly recommend it for a nice stay in beautifully rome!

Thank you Paola! We had such wonderful experiences on our winter pilgrimage to Rome in this Jubilee year of Mercy. We stayed almost two weeks in Paula’s very comfortable home away from home for two. Very secure door locks in a secure building. The internet worked great. The bed is firm and very comfortable. The appliances are new –just ask Luis to do a demo on the stove top/oven and shorten your learning curve. We love to cook and really enjoyed walking the few blocks beyond to Trionfale Market in the Prati for a fantastic selection of fresh meats, cheeses and produce. The Coop market is around the corner was very handy. The neighborhood restaurants were wonderful. One of our absolute favorites is Ristochicco on Borgo Pio; Being this close to the Vatican allowed us to hear the bells and occasionally the liturgical music from the Basilica. Just a few blocks away from St. Peter’s and the Vatican museum we were able to take our time inside the Basilica and take advantage of all the tours. Doing your homework prior to your arrival pays off as it is necessary to make your arrangements in advance for special liturgies or audiences with Pope Francis, tours through the Museum, and the fantastic scavi tour (archeological excavations under St. Peter’s documenting the history of St. Peter’s burial and the situation of Basilica over his tomb). That said some of our greatest encounters were with the people we met in the lines that go with large numbers of visitors. It was very easy to access the Metro at Ottaviano and for travel to the other Holy Doors in Rome – Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls , Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, Basilica of St. Mary the Great, Just a few of the sites that were very helpful to us: Jubilee of Mercy --- Pilgrimage through the holy doors – it is not necessary to be part of a large group but check with your diocese to see if they are planning a group pilgrimage …. We were a group of two but the larger groups we encountered came with a very strong communal commitment – this appeared to be very special. For American Pilgrims The Pontifical North American College is a great resource for tickets. The tickets to any of the liturgical events are free but must be reserved in advance. scavi tour - the archeological digs under St. Peter’s Basiica – need to be reserved and paid for in advance directly with this office. The Vatican museums are incredible and have multiple packages are available direct Most valuable resource: If you want a great way to link the history of Christianity with the artworks in Rome see the Catholicism series from You will not want to miss finding Caravaggio’s Conversion of Paul!

I really admire your competence and preparation for this experience. I cannot think of any Italian I know, myself included, who would have such knowledge!

Paola is a great host with a lovely home. Apartment was clean and to a high standard. WiFi was excellent, it apartment had every you needed and more. Location was great, some noise from the apartment but usually just sirens from ambulances or police cars but expected with the location being so good. Paolo was very helpful in every way. The boiler only had 10-15 minutes of hot water for the bath then you have to wait another several hours which was a shame but everything else was fine.

Paola's apartment was beautiful, quaint and very comfortable. The location was great because there are cafe and restaurants just around the corner. It's very close to St. Peter's but far enough from the crowds of tourists. Overall, my experience was amazing and thank you very much Paola for your flexibility and hospitality
