Some tips for routes or a day trip that you can arrange from Korinthos:
1) You can visit the next city Loutraki, similar of Korinthos and famous for its casino. There is a bus going there every hour. The bus stop is up to Damaskinou street. The street right of our building, where the cars pass. The ticket cost 1.40 euro.
2) You can visit the Ancient Korinthos and the ruins and acropolis. You can take the bus from the bus stop next to the old train station. Close to our place walking up at Damaskinou street.
3) You have to visit the famous Cannel of Korinthos. If you feel you can walk to there. You have to follow again the Damaskinou street right up, till big square next to the sea and after follow the seaside. If you don't feel to walk you can take the bus going to Loutraki and get off at the Channel of Korinthos, just after Isthmia bus stop.
4) Perfect for one day trip is Nafplio city. It is situated in an hour and a half distance. You can take the bus from the Isthmia bus stop. Till there you can go with the Loutraki bus again. In the city of Nafplio you can walk in the old city area, visit the castle up the hill or take a boat to the small Bourdzi castle in the port. There are two bieaches in Nafplio – one under the castle and the other one on 3lm diatsnce, a hufe sandy beack called Karathona. You need a car to go there or bicycle. There is a walk sarting under the castle but it is too long.
5) Another must destinantion is the Ancient theatre of Epidaurus. To go there you should take a bus agin from the Isthmia bus stop to Ligourio village. The same bus stop from where the buses to Nafplio starts. Please do not get confused, as the ancient theatre of Epidaurus is not situated in the Epidaurus village but in the next village, called Ligourio, a few kilometers after Epidaurus village. Epidaurus village is also a very nice destination and there you can see the small ancient theatre at the end of the port or go for diving to see the ruins of the ancient city, just a few meters under the water, next by the small theatre.
6) Other places you can visit are the old Mycenae city, on the way to Nafplio city and the ancient Nemea. There are buses to there again from the Isthmos bus stop.

Other things to do in Korinthos is to walk to the Kalamia beach, the main beach of Korinthos. It will take you like 10-15 min walking from our place. There you can find nice coffee shops and restaurants.
Please note that every Saturday there is a big market, next to the big church of Agios Georgios, starting at 9 am till 13 -14h. You can find everything there - fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, clothes etc.
Also on our street Periandrou, passing just in front of the building, there are many shops open in the morning selling fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and bread. Please note that they are open only in the morning till 14H.
There is a big supermarket VASILOPOULOS in a few minutes from our place. Directions - you get out of the building, follow the street right, first on the left, again first on the right and the supermarket is there.

Conveniently situated 50km from Athens, Corinth is the gateway to the Peloponnese, an area rich in natural beauty and historical sites. Ancient Corinth is an important archaeological site, and above the ancient town towers Acrocorinth, a fortress used throughout the middle ages by Byzantine, Venetian and Turkish occupiers.
The modern city of Corinth has all the facilities to make your stay enjoyable, including numerous outdoor cafes, bars and restaurants, several beaches, and services such as travel agencies, banks and shops. It easily charms everyone with its little cube houses with flat-roofed houses and its narrow stone paved streets winding like a labyrinth of white lines traditionally painted around the large flat stones; arches and arcades are merging from a street or between two houses and contribute to the creation of a wonderful and magical atmosphere. and frequent trains and buses connecting Corinth to the surrounding villages.
Corinth is an excellent base for touring, set among many unspoilt beach resorts. Loutraki is a spa town renowned for its clear blue sea. Vrahati is one of the many smaller coastal villages that combine relaxing days on the beach with vibrant nightlife. The stunning sites of Mycenae, Argos, Nafplio and Nemea are all close by, as is the theatre of Epidavros, where ancient tragedies are performed during the summer festival.
