Please refrain from smoking, excessive drinking, drugs, loud noises and strong-smelling perfumes during your stay in this peaceful, meditative setting. No parties or loud noises, especially after 9 pm. No pets, please. Because insects are a big problem in tropical climates, it's important to wash dishes and put away food right away. When you go, I'd appreciate if you would leave the house the way you found it— please wash your dishes and take all your food. I do want to know in advance how many people will be staying overnight.
Hi - I enjoy sharing my space and getting to know new people. I just bought this house in May of 2013 and I had so much fun remodeling it and making it beautiful and inviting. I've written 16 books on self-healing (with Random House and Bantam) and I work occasionally as a counselor at a high-end rehab center. I love gardening, especially growing my own herbs and veggies. I love nature. This house is so great because you can see the sunrise from the lanai. I've traveled all over the US, and into Mexico, Canada, Thailand, Bali, Israel, France, Switzerland, England, and this is still one of my favorite places in the whole world. I know what it's like to be a traveler, and it's always so much nicer to stay in someone's home instead of an impersonal hotel, and to be exposed to more of the local color—which we have plenty of in our little neighborhood.
