Listing and photos does not do this home justice. Incredible location with a dream house. I was made to feel right at home by the hosts and had an incredibly memorable experience. The communication and hospitality from the hosts is better than anything I have ever experienced before. I highly recommend This place if you are looking for a getaway. There is absolutely nothing negative about this home and the experience.

We had a great time! The cabin is everything that Nona explained it to be and it's even more beautiful when you see it. It was easy to find and very clean. Only downside for us was having to take our garbage home with us (there is no compost so all of that has to go in the garbage). I suggest trying to leave as much of your garbage at home as possible. Lots to do... Hiking, campfire, Scandinave spa, trampoline, lake, etc. We would love to rent again!

Five star experience all the way!! Our family has travelled to the Collingwood area many times but never stayed in the Castle Glen area. What a great spot!! The home was extremely well appointed and loved having access to all the "little things" when you need them, for meal prep time. Nona was a fanstastic hostess and showed us around the property and gave great tips about the home. Thank you for the nice arrival gift for the kids and S'mores. Our childen had a blast catching frogs in the pond - entertained them for hours! We'll be back for sure.

Nona and Scott's log cabin in Blue Mountain is absolutely beautiful! The house is super clean, stunning, had all the amenities to make a weekend away pretty awesome. The only challenges we had were dealing with the heat (no a/c) and having no reception at the cabin (no wi-fi). But in the end, if you leave all the windows open, it gets cool enough and having no wi-fi helped us have a good vacation and not worry about working or dealing with emails :) All in all, I would strongly recommend staying at Nona & Scott's cabin - they are wonderful hosts, responsive and attentive to your needs.

Lovely place, very high quality and good taste in decorating. Nona & Scott are wonderful people and their home is stunning, definitely better than the pics! We all felt very welcomed by Nona and Scott, they are always there for questions, support and ideas. Its soooo sweet that they prepared a smores and music for us and treats for our doggies, The cottage is just perfect for a relaxing retreat, the view is amazing and there are so much to do in this area.(hiking, biking, kayaking, culture) Highly recommend this place for you guys. Thank you again Nona and Scott, we will come back!

Nona & Scott’s place looked as if it came straight out of a magazine catalogue! My family and I were really impressed with how neat and organized the whole place was! The house comfortably hosts eight people easily. Despite the lack of wifi and cellphone reception (at certain spots) there were plenty of things to do to keep us entertained! Although we’ve never met Nona & Scott in person, the communication was clear and I’m sure that they’re both delightful souls to be around.

Respuesta de Nona & Scott:
Hi. Thanks for the nice and thoughtful review Regine! We appreciate it and yes we sure wish we had better cell reception, my Dad is coming in a couple of weeks to install a "booster" on our roof to see if that helps;-) The ants - ha. Yes, well we do love God's creatures but not living in our house! I felt so badly but we did fingure out where they were living and we sprayed the spot in the log with an ant spray and honestly, this is probably going to sound crazy but I felt so badly - they all died and I saw some of them trying to carry others that had died. I felt like I was watching a war movie. I don't eat animals when I can help it, I love them and when I was younger I'd squish bugs any time out of fear, but now that I'm a Mom I just can't help but feel like it's the wrong thing to do! You probably think I'm crazy now:-) Ants to me show some signs of intelligence just based on the fact that while they are not nocturnal, they do choose to come looking for crumbs when we're sleeping (that's what I meant when I said they "sneak in at night" if you leave food out.) My husband doesn't share my ideas about live and let live! lol He's obsessed with making sure we are the only living creatures in our home. Thanks again:-) Nona

Scott and I met at Queen's University and treeplanted together 25 years ago and have been married for 16 years. We have 2 boys (Gord and Charlie), a golden retriever (Molly) and we love spending time up in Collingwood. We ski, bike, hike and enjoy just hanging out with friends and family. Scott is a Regional Vice President for RBC and I'm a Life Coach.

Scott loves to ride his road, cross and mountain bike (at 3 stage accessible from trails behind our home) and I like training for triathlons, LOVE being in nature and hitting the trails with our dog. Our kids love to golf, ski and just hang out with their friends. We live in Toronto during the week and love to go up to Collingwood on the weekends and for holidays in every single season. We also love to travel and visit our family in North Bay, Haliburton and Florida and we are happy to share one of our favourite spots in the world with others.
