The Parrot's Perch is an adorable one bedroom apartment on Historic 7th Street in Downtown Sarasota, Walk to Main Street, Farmer's Market. Completely remodeled apartment located in a large historic house with deck under giant oak tree.

The parrot's perch is a great little apartment that has been completely remodeled with a new kitchen featuring a breakfast bar with quartz countertops, farmer's sink and beadboard trim. A 32" tv with DVD player, queen size beautyrest bed, all new furniture and new bathroom make your stay very comfortable.

Guests will have access to a private deck, and the "outhouse" Laundromat, a funny little shack which we have salvaged and put coin operated machines into.

Guests have instant access to the apartment via an electronic door lock set to the last four digits of their telephone number-no need to stress about arrival times. We live next door, and are available via cell phone. We will generally stop by to say hi, and introduce ourselves, but try to give our guests full privacy, unless we can help in any way. A large basket with maps and brochures is available in the apartment to help explore the area.

We love being able to walk into downtown Sarasota and walk along the bayfront to watch the sunset. The town is especially fun on Saturday mornings during the farmer's market.

You can walk to lots of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. There is a convenient bus system to get out to the beach as well. Plenty of parking is available on the street at no charge.

Klare Weiterempfehlung.

This was a house split into different units. We had a small one bedroom unit, which was too small for the amount of time we stayed ( one month). Full kitchen ( no dishwasher), counter seating, cute living room and cute bedroom. Small porch in front of unit with table, chairs and shade umbrella. Bathroom very small with pocket door. Short walk to downtown, although the other properties along the alley where you park are generally in poor shape. There is some gentrification going on, however, and the area seems to have remodeling, new building, etc. taking place. This is the first time we rented such a small place. We usually rent entire homes and don't pay a higher price than what this cost us. Hosts were extremely nice and helpful. They are working to expand their visitor facilities and the fenced in property is very nice. Recommend for 1-2 people for short stays.

We had a great time staying here. Andrea and Mike were lovely hosts and offered both friendship and complete privacy. We were invited to their Christmas party with the neighbors. We brought our bikes so we could get around like locals. Mike biked with us over to the Ringling Museum and showed us some cool neighborhoods on route.

The Parrots Perch is a perfect cozy apartment for 1-2 people, its beachy tropical atmosphere prepares you just right for Sarasota and its beaches which are only a 10 min drive away. Downtown is in walking distance, so you could go to a bar or do some shopping all by foot. At the same time, the apartment is very quiet and private, Andrea and her husband are amazing hosts, extremely friendly, helpful and inviting. There's no better place to stay in Sarasota.

We had a wonderful experience at Andrea's place. The apartment is beautiful, has all the necessary amenities, and is well-located; in Gillespie park, a historic neighborhood. The communication before and during the stay was quick, and uncomplicated. The apartment is exactly as on the photos, clean and in a great location. We explored the city by foot and loved everything about our stay in Sarasota. Thank you!! Caroline and John K.

An excellent place to stay. Located in easy reach of anything that anyone would want to do in Sarasota. Immaculately kept and equipped. Recommend to all. Five stars would not be enough.

I am a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. I am passionate about revitalizing Downtown Sarasota and the historic Gillespie Park Neighborhood where I have lived and worked for 15 years. I am also working to get the Legacy Multi Use Recreational Trail extended into Downtown Sarasota. My husband and I live with our spoiled rotten Vizlsa named Lucy. We love to walk Lucy and ride our bikes (including our antique Santana Tandem bike named Lulu) into downtown, out to the beach, at various bike and tandem rallies.
