Información sobre este anuncio
Flexible accom, suits singles, couples or pairs on short or longer stays in Central Brighton.
The Gay Village is at your feet, the beach, two streets away, the centre, 7 minutes walk. Many language schools close by. Host is retired English Teacher.
This is a pleasant ex-government flat in a 60's tower block, designed and built for ordinary working people. The block is utilitarian and without pretension. My flat has been modernised to provide simple easy accommodation, close to the seafront, right in the heart of the Gay Village.
The bedroom is a fair-sized double room which converts quickly to twin when required. The default arrangement is double so if you need twin, please ask. There is hanging and cupboard space for clothes. There are good rooftop and sea views from the window.

Any guest has full access to all the facilities of the flat.
Atención a los huéspedes
Though there are times when I can let the whole flat, this is essentially a home stay. It is important to me that you enjoy your stay, whether you have a heavy schedule or if your time is less planned and have more time to spend in conversation. Please complete a profile of yourself so that I might get an impression of you before you book.
This part of Brighton is where most of the guest houses and Gay Bars are located. Being East of the Steine it is more residential and the seafront this side of town is more open than the more developed stretch between the piers. Posh it isn't, but it is lively, friendly and very convenient for the best of all that Brighton has to offer.
All of the centre of town is within walking distance but please check the map to see if my description fits your idea of that. The bus service to all parts of the city is excellent. In five minutes you can walk to the coach station and in twenty to the railway station. Brighton Pavilion is half a kilometre away.
Otros aspectos destacables
As an experienced English teacher I particularly welcome foreign students. I am accustomed to the company of non-native speakers and there are five or six language schools within easy waking distance.
Please have a written profile so I can get some idea of who you are. Other than that, there are no house rules for adults but as this is my home, if you are visiting for party purposes, this is the place for the bits in-between. Thanks.

61 year-old Gay male and retired English teacher. I've lived abroad in several countries. Saudi Arabia, Oman, Italy, Sri Lanka and Thailand are those countries and I enjoyed them all.
I read, cruise the internet (too much) cycle, make soap, watch movies and sit on the seafront when the sun shines. I'm also a dog lover. I look after a succession of dogs for fiends, so be warned, there may be one here when you visit. If this worries you, please check with me before you book. I can always organise.
Favourite writers: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Bill Bryson and Muriel Spark. Favourite movies: Bagdad Cafe. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. Favourite TV programme: Game of Thrones
I like to travel, especially in the Winter when I go to Asia, though also in the Spring and Autumn here in Europe. Eastern Europe and Spain are my current interests. Berlin is my favourite city and Mae Hongson Province in Thailand is my retreat. Joni Mitchell is my favourite composer. This year I want to learn to play the guitar.
I really enjoy hosting on Airbnb. Hearing about your lives, where you've come from, where you're headed. It's a privilege for which I am very grateful.
