This is a newly remodeled sub level studio apartment of a historic home in the established Irvington neighborhood. We are walking distance to many we'll know eateries, pubs, cafes and dispensaries. The apartment features a private entrance, sleeping nook with full size bed and a Smart TV airing local channels and NetFlix. The sitting area has a leather Euro sofa/bed and 2 comfortable chairs to relax in. The desk provides a folder of neighborhood maps and pamphlets to help you plan your days and nights. Cell service may be weak depending on your carrier (due to the fact that the apt. is sub level) Simply stepping out side may make a positive difference in the connection.
Your breakfast nook is stocked with organic coffee, tea, oatmeal, yogurt & granola ) There is a sink, microwave and mini fridge for your convenience. The bathroom with stall shower comes supplied with toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap plus other convenient toiletries) and a blowdryer. The laundry area has a full sized washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. Also supplied are laundry detergents etc. Some supplied amenities are organic and earth friendly.

Your apartment is 100% private for your enjoyment. We welcome you to enjoy the shared back yard with fish pond and chairs to relax. There is also a table and chairs for outdoor dining. (weather permitting).

I am the owner of a home based boutique Pilates studio, Irvington Pilates. I work part time with clients during the day or am out taking classes of my own. In the evenings, I am available to share a cup of tea or glass of wine. If we don't see one another, you can always contact me via text and I will get back to you soon! I respect your privacy, but will make sure we connect. (that's the fun of this, right?)

Your apartment is located in one of Portland's oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods. Irvington is known for tree lined streets, parks, large Colonial, Craftsman and Victorian style homes and laid back residents. Taking walks in this neighborhood is a real treat! Every year, the 3rd Sunday in May offers the annual Historic Irvington Home Tour. If you like older homes, this is an AWESOME treat! Irvington is centrally located to all of Portland's amazing neighborhoods and is a great place to be stationed while exploring the city. We are within a 10 minute walk to Whole Foods and a great handful of eateries, cafes and wine bars. We are just 3 blocks to a great little local deli Foster and Dobbs, local brewery Hop House & Root Yoga Studio. Just down the road on NE Broadway you can find bars, coffee shops and boutiques as well as another large grocery store. Your home away from home is also within walking distance to Lloyd Center Mall and Regal Movie Theaters. We have many major banks, a UPS/postal shop and a local branch of the library within a few minutes walk. The apartment is 3 blocks away from the number 8 bus, which will take you downtown in one direction, or to the trendy Alberta Arts neighborhood in the other direction. The number 8 will also take you straight to the Lloyd Center MAX stop, Portland's light rail system. The MAX will take you to the airport, downtown, the Moda Center (home of the Trail Blazers!) and the Convention Center. Portland's beautiful Waterfront where the Saturday Market explodes on the weekend, Portland State University or to the Peal District, a great neighborhood full of bars, upscale dining, galleries and boutiques and decorating shops. The number 24 bus is also a 6 block walk away and will take you straight down Fremont St. to the ever evolving Mississippi/Williams area where you can enjoy an eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and locally owned boutiques.
Whether you are looking for urban hikes or a serene escape to nature, Irvington offers accessibility to all the amazing things the city of Portland has to offer!

Should you be traveling with a bicycle, we have a locked garage for you to keep your bike. We are a very friendly bike area with bicycle events all Spring and Summer long!

We have 2 very friendly female kitties. They may want to visit and say hello. You are welcome to invite them in or not. Please do not let them overstay their welcome.
You will hear footsteps and sounds of water from the house above. We are respectful of your presence, but we do live in an historic old house and sounds may be present.

I love HOME! Having a tranquil place to call HOME offers me the ability to enjoy the world (near and far) and always have a place to return to so I can recharge. Travel is a passion of mine. I love to soak in different cultures, peoples' points of view, beauty, sights, sounds and flavors. I have traveled and lived extensively in Asia. I found that my richest and most memorable experiences were those shared with "locals" in residential areas, doing average daily activities.
I am now in the stage of life where I can travel to locations and have adventures that are on my "bucket list". I feel very blessed to meet people from all over and make life long friends.
When I am home in Portland, I enjoy teaching Pilates and Yoga in my private boutique studio and creative ballet to little ones! Connecting with people of ALL AGES is a love of mine!
I must admit that sometimes I feel like a "tourist" in my own home town. Living in Irvington for the past 25 years, I have not needed to venture very far. (quite ironic; I love to travel far and wide, but love to stay close to home when I am in Portland) Recently I have started to explore my own wonderful city! I love discovering new eateries, wineries, galleries, boutiques, movement studios, dance groups and the fun quirky things that Portland is so good at!
I find daily activities and their simple blessings the best way to enjoy a full, rich and satisfying life. I enjoy getting to know people everywhere I go.
I hope to offer you a private, safe and tranquil HOME away from HOME while you enjoy the wonderful daily blessings Portland and its surrounding areas have to offer.
