Greetings to you future guests!
Here is all the information about our 3 different rooms of our antique water Mill, services, offers and our region!

It is a pleasure to welcome you at the Bed and Breakfast Il Mulino Di Valle here, in the heart of the Apennines Mountains between Tuscany and Emila. Our centuries old Mill has been refurbished and kept in all it ancient beauty after the last day the grinding wheels stopped turning more than 40 years ago. Before starting your visit of our unique structure, walk with me across our natural domain that has seen history passing by for the last 1000 years. We are part of many books, stories and legends across all this time.
Our special little micro climate has helped growing an endless mature woods that homed an incredible wildlife and are filled with countless wild flowers in every months of the year. Only a few step away from the doorstep you can either follow animals tracks for hours or discover kilometers of our natural walking and cycling trails. Il Mulino Di Valle geographical position, deep in the end of a valley where 3 rivers converge, make it ideal for the perfect getaway from the excess of mother nature. Here our summer nights are fresh and winter shows up just enough to be enjoyed. And as the echo of the time past, you can hear water running everywhere inside and outside our little B&B. All this seem already promising: falling asleep in a fresh comfortable bed under the sound of running water... But wait as the magic is far from over...
As we walked back to the Mill, following the ancient mill stream, you can noticed a first glimpse of what we will offer you. You see a lone stone structure with no neighbours, standing among tall trees with two large verandas where you can read or enjoy dinner and the river-rock paved court to dance under traditional music for special events. As you get closer to the old entrance door of Il Mulino Di Valle, you are passing by one of the last working Antique Wood Oven where we cook our breakfast bread, meals and pizza for your own delight.
Ready to push the old door carved by the initials of the last millers?
It open onto centuries ago. Thick rock walls are framing the intact remains of the mill grinders and mechanisms, still waiting for the water to make them moved again. Maybe on your way to admire this piece of history, you notice the old dinning room next door with its 2 meter wide fireplace and a range of unique Mountain Wine and Balsamic Vinegar. This is where you will enjoyed your complete organic homemade breakfast with sweet and salty option or one of the traditional Italian dinner we can offer.
The stairs will bring you to the hall of the Grain Floor of the Mill, where they used to stored grain so many years ago.
***On one side you find the incredible Suite Peonia that offers a unique antique experience. With its incredible furniture chosen to create a peaceful harmony between the low majestic wood beam ceiling and the three rock walls, it will stunned you without any doubt. The opening of any of its 4 windows will bring inside a soft sound of the ever running water from the mill stream.
***On the other side of the hall, the beautiful Twin Girasole is waiting for you under its old wooden ceiling. This room offers a double or twin beds solutions ideal for friends, children or workers. It is flooded in light by two windows that easily bring in the fresh breeze of our valley.
Those two rooms are sharing a Living Room with TV(Movies), books and games, a hall with a tourist info centre and a bathroom. The full Grain Floor is then ideal for families or group of friends as they get the complete floor for themselves. On the other hand, both rooms are separated by the hall and 2 rock walls of 50 cm each: you get in either of them all the privacy and intimacy you can wish for.
***Our last option of room need you to go back in the outside courtyard where a private entrance open upon our complete Apartment Lilium with a newly equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, a dining rooms and a wonderful bedroom. The smell of burning wood from a stone fireplace,in the heart of this last one, a liberty set of couches and a large comfortable bed are welcoming you to a unique timeless atmosphere. A wonderful stay, Yan and Jessica were extremely hospitable. A highlight was the breakfast full of homemade high quality food and eating the fresh cherries from the trees on the property. Not only did Jess and Yan organise visit for us to a parmigiano casificio and acetaia: real hi

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Our family of four booked The Mill of Valle for May 31 – June 4, 2016. We were returning to our family’s birthplaces of Pievepelago and Sant’Anna, located higher in the mountains, west of Modena. Our goal was to visit Genoa, Modena and Bologna, as well as the smaller towns of Emilia Romagna. We selected The Mill because of the reviews, the beautiful, historic setting and the quick, thorough and personal response from Yan and Jessica regarding our inquiry. We could not have picked a more beautiful, welcoming and restful place in which to stay, navigate from and eat! Be assured that everything about The Mill of Valle is 5+ stars. Jessica and Yan have crafted a haven just outside of Serramazzoni in the Apennines of northern Italy. With respect for the past, they have lovingly refurbished the buildings, cleared away the brambles, and brought life to this once essential mill. Open for only 3 years, they welcomed us with a smile and warm hearts, while slowly revealing their passions and way of life to us. They are an easy, hardworking, startling young couple whose talent allows them to cure prosciutto, make ricotta daily, collect chicken and quail eggs, dry herbs and exchange goods with local farmers and craftspeople for all the food they present to you. They use locally ground wheat to bake huge quantities of bread, as well as daily sweet breads to eat with morning espresso. I can still taste the strawberries, tomatoes and homemade yogurt. We have rarely eaten so well, in such a relaxed manner and with such appreciation for the source, the environment and the amazing cooking talents of Jessica. The beds were covered with handmade coverlets while the windows fluttered with lace enhanced hand-woven antique sheeting cutains. We slept like babies in the best beds of our entire Italian trip, lulled to sleep by the babbling creeks and cooing dove on our windowsill. They have carefully furnished each room with period pieces, while keeping comfort in mind. We had the entire complex to ourselves, something I would recommend for a group of 4-6. Our adult daughters met the goats during milking, while we all enjoyed the rabbits, chicken and other critters of the wild. It was idyllic, while purposeful at the same time. If you want a “real” experience, this is the place for you. I am not exaggerating, when I describe this place as a haven… a very special place with a soul and an embrace that literally makes you breath a bit more slowly and sip your wine appreciatively. Review all the pictures posted on line and then add contentment and love. Jessica and Yan passionately provided us with the history of the area, opened Jessica’s grandmother’s kitchen for pasta and lasagna making (under the Nonna’s watchful and critical eye), encouraged us to take a private tour of Giorgio Muzzarelli’s balsamic vinegar museum, restaurant and shop and sadly acknowledging that we had no time to visit the Parmesan making craftsman. Ahh,...

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the innkeeper's brother and his girlfriend, as well as Big Boy(the dog) who were taking care of the property while the innkeepers were away. Niko, helped with our bags and gave us a tour of our rental. The bedrooms and living room, as well as the other areas were exactly as pictured on the website. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and the beds were quite comfortable. We delighted in falling asleep and awakening to the sound of the stream flowing along the property. Breakfast was simple yet included everything we desired with a choice of cold meats, cheeses, and eggs, yogurt, ricotta cheese, breakfast cake, granola, and beverages. Certainly enough to start our day. Erica and Niko also made reservations for us at a local winery for a tour and wine tasting where we had a wonderful time, as well as at a parmesan cheese producer. They accompanied us to Niko's grandmothers house where she taught us how to make tortelloni, and we enjoyed sharing a meal of our homemade pasta in sage butter, turkey scallopini, salad, wine and dessert. A wonderful evening with a gracious host, thank you Nonna! The Inn's location is on a mountain side with beautiful grounds, right next to a hiking trail. I would imagine when the flowers and trees are in bloom the grounds will be even more beautiful. Located appx. 100 yards up the road was a wonderful small trattoria where we enjoyed dinner prepared by the owner herself. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at The Mill of Valle and would highly recommend a stay here. The Pethybridge Family New Jersey New York Brescia, Italy

A terrific stay - the Mill was in a terrific location just down from a castle which had some of the best pasta we've ever had. Jess really went the extra mile - she gave us heaps of suggestions, made bookings for us, drew maps and gave directions (eg wine tasting, cheese tour, restaurant recommendations), and organised a pasta-making class with her Nonna! She also cooked us dinner on arrival, and provided great brekkies in the morning, full of locally sourced products. An exceptional experience! Thanks so much Jess and Yan

We can not begin to describe how wonderful this stay was for us. Jess was an amazingly attentive and helpful host. If you have a chance to request a cooking class, we highly recommend it. The setting has a storybook quality and offered an incredible authentic Italian experience. We can't begin to describe what an awesome stay this was. Twelve stars!
