Quiet friendly neighbourhood close to green spaces (Westfield Park and Cremorne Gardens) and yet bursting with life. Few things to do close to the apartment; walk towards Sloane Square on Kings Road and you have all sorts of boutiques, bars and restaurants. Walk towards New Kings Road and you'll find legendary furniture shops, cafes and nightlife. This part of Chelsea is well known for amazing interior design and antique shops - the famous Chelsea Design Centre is 5 mins away. Have a stroll by River Thames which is just minutes away from the apartment and enjoy stunning views of London - carry on walking for a further 10 minutes and you have the beautiful Battersea Park. Football fans may visit close by Stamford Bridge. If history is your thing, this is an excellent base from which to visit the Natural History Museum, the V&A, the Tate Modern - all within 30 mins bus or tube. If you love the theatre hop on a bus to cutting edge Royal Court on Sloane Square or black cab / uber it to the West End (or bus number 22 from right opposite the apartment will take you straight there!). The foodie will not be disappointed - dotted around Chelsea, you will find Gordon Ramsay's 3 Michelin star restaurant, La Famiglia, Chutney Mary, Eight over Eight, Zuma, the Ivy etc. Lovely Farmers Markets and great little Chelsea pubs offering cosy bar meals. Live like a Londoner and catch a water taxi from Chelsea Harbour to the city, see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from the water. Or you can have a drink and read a book in the local pub, the Chelsea Ram. And if you still have the energy hit the world famous nightspots in walking distance, incl. 606 club, Embargo, Jaks, Mare Moto etc.
A car is certainly not necessary for getting around as this is a central London location and the transport links are very good. Bus stops in all directions are within a 30 second walk from the apartment...! A 10-min bus ride (either bus number 11 or 22) will take you to Sloane Square tube station where you can jump on the District & Circle Line and access the West End, the City etc. Hop on the 328 on Gunter Grove and you are at Earls Court within 10 minutes, High Street Kensington within 15 minutes, Notting Hill in 20 minutes. Imperial Wharf station is 10 minutes away and in just one stop you can either get to Olympia (famous for exhibitions) or go in the other direction towards Clapham Junction where you can hop onto an onward connection to Gatwick Airport or Brighton. River Boats run from Chelsea Harbour for quick and scenic access to the City. Rental bikes are stationed few minutes away. Heathrow Airport is 30 minutes away from Earls Court tube station. Walk just 2 minutes to Fulham Road and you can catch the number 14 which will drop you right outside Victoria & Albert Museum and near the Natural History and Science Museums. Harrods is just 2 stops after the V&A on the same bus. South Kensington tube station is just before the V&A - South Kensington offers a variety of fine dining and shopping options. Fulham Broadway tube station is within a 15 minute walk from the apartment - this area also offers a variety of options for food and shopping, incl. the Wholefoods Market.
The apartment is fully carpeted and guests are requested not to wear shoes in the apartment. Neither smoking nor pets are allowed in the apartment or anywhere in the building.
