Peaceful, quiet nature retreat just outside the city. Hang out and relax in a remodeled frontier cabin with hiking and mountain biking right out the front door, 5 minutes to stores and restaurants and only a 15 minute drive into downtown and the U of A. Huge swimming pool, gas grill, and plenty of wildlife! It’s a perfect spot to unwind after a day in town, or get some time away to paint, write or reconvene with yourself, nature, or the one you love.

El espacio
The cabin is over 100 years old, but now has all the modern amenities you need...

-Brand new AC/heater mini-split system
-Wood burning fireplace
-WiFi
-32” smart TV with Netflix
-Fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer and microwave
-Full access to the massive swimming pool and smaller “sittin’ pool”
-A ceramic deer head
-Books and board games
-A log bed from Wyoming
-A feather mattress topper and a super comfy mattress
-Brand new pillows and towels
-24/7 access to the swimming pool that is shared with the main house

This is the THE place to experience the old west while still being able to enjoy the city of Tucson. Perfect for a writer’s retreat, meditative vacation, or romantic weekend away.

The cabin is located on over 3 acres of desert, shared with the main house, on the edge of the Saguaro National Park, with breathtaking sunset views, hundreds of saguaros and cacti, tons of wildlife, and mountain views galore. Enjoy the quiet, the desert air, birds chirping and the clear, starry skies at night. You will likely hear the coyote calls and great-horned owls hooting nearby!

The property is a hiking and mountain biking haven with a 1/4 mile trail that connects you to Sweetwater Mountain Bike Park. Horse back riding is only a 5 minute drive. Gates Pass, Old Tucson Studios, and the Sonoran Desert Museum are just over the other side of the mountains. Only 5 minutes to shopping and restaurants and 15 minutes from the U of A and downtown.

The property has a huge pool that guests are welcome to use. (The pool is not heated). We are available to chat, give recommendations and enjoy some drinks on the patio, or you can have complete privacy with flexible check-in.

Servicios y zonas comunes
Guests have access to the property around the cabin and the pool area... but it’s in the middle of the desert so you can really roam and explore in almost every direction as long as you don’t go into the other neighbors yards. We have a large collection of interesting rocks scattered around the property, and we ask that guests leave them where they are... however there are plenty of places to rockhound nearby.

The space is not cleaned daily during your visit. Please note we have a septic system so flush only toilet paper.

Otros aspectos destacables
Be aware we are in the desert so you may see some wildlife including coyotes, javelinas, quail, hawks, bunnies, tarantulas, snakes, scorpions, and other critters which can be exciting but potentially frightening. Please let us know if you need us to remove a critter from the property.

Hey! I’m Joe! I paint murals for a living and I love to travel. When life keeps me in town, it’s always fun to have new people circling through as a host. I’m a big fan of camping, hiking, cycling and getting out into nature in general.
