Cleanliness has always been top of mind for our guests, but it has become more important than ever, which is why we follow the recommended higher standards for enhanced cleaning protocol. We not only clean, we sanitise.

Exclusive to Airbnb, this old Corner Store, transformed from it's early days as a grocery store then becoming a milkbar has now become an appealing apartment with charm and character.

Our home started its history as a general store in the late 1930's and continues through today as a newly renovated modern apartment. With its 10 foot ceilings and open plan, it gives you a spacious feel, with all the homely comforts.

This open plan apartment has availability for one bedroom or two - queen bed in the open studio area as well as a queen bed in a separate bedroom (available for an extra couple or on request, see Other Things of Note for details)

There is a secure lockable garage with remote for easy access and off street parking.

We do our best for the environment without compromising on comfort. We use green, recycled, biodegradable and sustainable products where possible. We use chemical free natural products for laundry and cleaning. Our soap and shampoo are all natural Australian made products. Our sheets are 100% cotton with bamboo underlays and we line dry all our linen. Our energy provider offsets all carbon emissions and is 100% carbon neutral, using renewable energy reducing our carbon footprint.

We have also provided the following to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

Natural shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bath salts. A deep corner bath for total relaxation along with bath robes for your personal use are also provided.

Fully equipped laundry with washer and dryer for those on longer stays.

TV and DVD player along with a large selection of DVD's. A Bluetooth speaker is also provided for your convenience for phone connection. WIFI for convenience and streaming your favorite TV shows (Chromecast)

Coffee pod machine with pods (biodegradable) along with tea and sugar.

Guests have access to apartment including private courtyard and garage. No other guests share this space.

Long weekends and some public holidays may require extra minimum night bookings (3 or 4).
Also please note that when booking for two guests only, the second bedroom would not normally be available (unless requested).
For use of the second bedroom for two guests only, a request must be made in advance and extra fees apply (fees cover the extra cleaning and laundering costs for use of this space).
Alternatively a booking for 3 guests can be made and the second bedroom automatically becomes available.

Originally from the Yarra Valley in Victoria, we grew up amongst the vineyards, orchards and prime cattle country of Wandin, Gembrook, Woori Yallock and Coldstream. Working in local pubs, restaurants and wineries became our passion and we continue to love the hospitality industry (although no longer working in the food industry!). We moved to Wangaratta in 2010 to be closer to family and haven't looked back. We embraced the farming community and the country lifestyle. We love Wangaratta and it's surrounding areas and as Airbnb Hosts, being able to share this beautiful part of Victoria with others, is immensely rewarding. As lovers of the great outdoors, we love to explore our surrounds and experience the local vibe. We love fine food, great wine and good company. We travel as a couple but quite often travel with extended family. We love the Airbnb experience and being able to communicate directly with our hosts, we find it more personal and more rewarding.
