Apartment 4, Customs House is a two bedroom, first floor apartment within a Grade II listed building in central St Ives. The apartment is bright and airy and with three large windows to the front of the building, the apartment benefits from a lot of natural light. It is just metres away from the beaches and the harbour and a short stroll away from the town.

The apartment sleeps 4 people and benefits from modern facilities including wifi, and well equipped kitchen. There is central heating throughout the apartment which makes it very comfortable all year round.

The open plan lounge/kitchen has comfortable seating for four, TV/DVD player and a selection of DVDs, books and games. Hidden away in the lovely window seats is a selection of beach gear that can be used.

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, oven/hob, fridge, microwave in addition to the basic kitchen necessities.

The bathroom is fully fitted with walk in shower, low level suite and wash hand basin. In the bathroom there is a washer/dryer which is housed in the airing cupboard.

The master bedroom, at the rear, is complete with a double bed, wardrobe, matching chest of drawers and bedside tables, and individual reading lights. The second bedroom, to the front of the building, has full size bunk beds, and wardrobe with plenty of storage.

Saturday Changeover

Linen and Towels are provided - this is included in your cleaning fee.

St Ives is a world-renowned holiday destination with numerous attractions that never fails to delight visitors. You can explore the small, cobbled streets enjoying the multitude of individual shops. The quaint Downalong area bordering the harbour and bedecked in flowers throughout the summer allows visitors to step back in time and reflect on St Ives’ fishing heritage.

St Ives is ringed by magnificent award winning beaches offering visitors safe bathing and various activities including surfing, diving, boat trips and fishing.
There are many superb restaurants specialising in fresh seafood.

The town is famous as an art centre. Many artists have been drawn to the area and the town hosts the prestigious Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum. The St Ives School of Art offers courses throughout the year.

The South West coastal path crosses through the town and the walk west to Zennor provides spectacular views

St Ives is also a fantastic base for visiting a host of local attractions such as Land’s End, The Minnack Theatre, the St Just Tin Mines – a World Heritage site and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.

The Cleaning Fee is made up of your end of stay clean, plus the linen and towels that are provided for your stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Customhouse. It was a great location close to the harbour and a short walk to the railway station, supermarket and beaches. Surprisingly quiet from the street. Great gourmet burgers at Blas just a few doors away. Good value for money, great quality towels and linen. The only minor criticism is the lack of dining space for a family of 4. I would recommend this place for a couple or a family who plans to dine out.

John's place in St Ives is lovely! It is so close to the main part of town but far enough away to be situated in a quiet location. You can hear the waves crashing against the harbour walls at night! It is located minutes away from the train station which is where we parked. The property is sufficiently furnished for 4 people with a sofa bed and two rocking chairs in the living room and a small foldaway table. The appartment was clean and well presented for our arrival with a lovely welcome pack containing some lovely Cornish tea and coffee along with milk and sugar and some gorgeous biscuits. With the welcome pack was a folder which contained lots of information on the house and local attractions. The bed in the master bedroom was SO amazingly comfortable it was hard to get up in the mornings! Plenty of storage for your clothes too. I would stay here again!!

great location with nearly a sea view! very close to all st ives have to offer. very easy to get to from the station car park which is where you would park.

The property is in an excellent location and if you were 4 adults it would be excellent value. The kitchen is well equipped and there was a nice welcome pack including tea and biscuits. The TV was a real issue for us as we had a 1 year old who was unwell whilst we were away and so evenings were spent inside the flat and it would have been nice to be able to sit on the sofa or even in the chairs and watch the TV. The room with bunk beds would be perfect for children but we could not fit our travel cot in there which was really annoying because the only reason we went for a 2 bedroom property was so that we could have our child in a separate room. We asked if they could provide a highchair and were told that there would be an additional charge for this so we brought our own. Unfortunately the only chairs in the property are fold out ones which did not fit our high chair. There was no hot water from either the taps in the kitchen or bathroom. I didn't get around to contacting the owner about this so, to be fair, he didn't have a chance to help fix this whilst we were there. Also there was a dishwasher and dishwasher tabs provided. The wifi worked well and there was a washing machine with a few washing tabs which was really helpful. Overall it was an OK place in an exceptional location. Not particularly great for babies/ toddlers.

Every thing was as pictured. Quite lovely. Just what we wanted. Quiet central location. It was a pleasure to come home to after a long day.
