Our Camp is a a Bedouin Camp located in the sunset area, near to the border of the white and the red desert. It is only 12 km from Wadi Rum Village and you can enjoy the beautiful sunset view from our Camp!

El alojamiento

My family and I are born in the desert and have been living in Wadi Rum for most of our lives, but settled in Wadi Rum Village. There we own a house now and seasonally return to the desert. My parents yet continued living a nomadic life in the desert - living in Bedouin tents and working with sheep and gout mainly.
After visiting tourism school, we started our business and are trying to teach the tourists about our way of living. Therefore, we have established our own campsite just 12 km from the village, as well as offering a great range of tours to participate in.

Servicios y zonas comunes

We offer toilet and shower facilities in our camp, as well as a community tent for our guests. There we serve original Bedouin food, so that our guests have the opportunity to taste the real Bedouin experience.
Tourists can also choose between one of our cozy private tents or enjoy sleeping outside under the stars.

Atención a los huéspedes

We value the Bedouin hospitality to the utmost and are trying to convey this to our guests, so that they feel comfortable and safe in this place. We are open to any kind of questions and teach you about our lifestyle and traditions, in order to make you experience the real Bedouin experience!

The place is beautiful and Ali is very friendly and easy to contact- he was flexible about pick up and drop off times in the village (you cannot drive there directly yourself- pick up and drop off are included in the price), responded more or less instantly to all messages, and helped us to arrange a jeep tour and lunch for our second day. The camp is in a very beautiful spot near the edge between the red and the white desert. There is a tall rocky outcropping nearby that you can walk up for a very beautiful view of the sunset, and in the morning you can see the sunrise over some mountains. The facilities are basic, but more luxurious than we were expecting: the tents are like little cabins, and each one has two single beds in it. There are flush toilets and showers, however the showers are cold, so we didn't use them- in summer I'm sure they would have been great. Dinner and breakfast were also included, very generous, and delicious. Two of the three of us were vegetarian and (with one day of notice) Ali was able to cater for us as well. The main dinner was prepared in a traditional Bedouin style- chicken and potatoes were cooked with a fire in a hole in the sand (difficult to describe but very interesting!). In the morning Ali had arranged a jeep tour for us with lunch and we spent half a day exploring the desert- including climbing up sand dunes, going over a rock bridge, and seeing carvings in a canyon of camel processions made hundreds of years ago. The main things to say about our experience with Ali are that it was great, incredibly easy to arrange, and that he, his team at the camp, and the guides he works with really care about your experience. A few pieces of advice if you're going: - Bring lots of layers: there is huge variance in temperature between the daytime and the night time- although our beds had a warm blanket we were still chilly at night and when we went out at sunrise- we wished we'd brought hats and gloves - Speak to Ali about or look up the tour options and lock down things you'd like to do beforehand- there are lots of options. The main ones are jeep tours, hiking (you can do a day trip to go up the tallest mountain in Jordan), and camel rides. Less common but also on offer: climbing (scrambling or more technical climbing with ropes) and dune boarding. We found the prices Ali quoted to be comparable to what other tour websites listed but some other people had booked tours with other operators and were still able to get picked up and dropped off right at the camp - Bring cash to pay for tours - Notify Ali of any dietary requirements (incl. vegetarianism) as early as possible - Plan time for a tour/to explore the desert
