Hermoso estudio totalmente equipado en Prenzlauerberg, Driesenerstr.5, compuesto por un amplio dormitorio, un baño con azulejos negros y blancos y una hermosa cocina funcional. Y sobre todo, una terraza en el jardín, ideal para desayunar al aire libre en el verde de la cancha. Bebés Bienvenidos! Tenemos una cuna. En todo el apartamento, con excepción del cuarto de baño, tiene un elegante parquet de hueso de pescado. La cocina está totalmente equipada con todas las herramientas posibles para cocinar. Restaurants and bars just two street numbers away, or 2 min. walk in the Kopenhagenerstr. Several supermarkets, organic and normal ones, are also one minute away from the apartment.

IMPORTANT: Being a studio apartment, it is ideal for a couple. However, over the last years we have hosted many times with success groups of three people, or families with one child. The third person can either sleep in the bed with the other two (it's king size), or, maybe more comfortably, on two mattresses positioned one on top of the other on the parquet, just beside the big bed. For children up to 4 years we offer a baby cot.

NOTE FOR SMOKERS: This is a no-smoking apartment. However, the presence of a garden terrace makes it ideal for smokers, that can enjoy their cigarettes in the garden.

For the visitors of the Berlin Fair (Berlin Messe):
The apartment, although apparently far on the map, is also well connected to the fair Berlin-Messe, that can be reached with the S-bahn line S42 in just 25 minutes. The apartment is also reachable directly from the airport Schönefeld without having to change train, by means of S-bahn S9. The airport Tegel is even closer, approx. 25 minutes journey, if not less.

Information for visitors on Berlin’s hotel occupancy tax

What is being taxed?
As of 1 January 2014, the federal state of Berlin will collect a hotel occupancy tax on
all overnight stays in hotels in Berlin. A “hotel” includes any type of short-term, paid
accommodation, and the tax is due whether or not the hotel guest actually spends
the night in the room.
If a room is reserved, but the guest cancels the reservation before arrival, the
occupancy tax is not charged.
If the guest is in Berlin on business, the occupancy tax is not charged.
In this case, the guest must give the hotel satisfactory proof that his or her stay is for
business reasons. This proof must be provided at the latest by the time the guest
leaves the hotel.
If the bill is made out to the guest’s employer or is paid directly by the employer, or if
the reservation was made by the employer, no further proof is required.
Written confirmation from the employer, including the name and address of the
employer and the duration of the stay, or written confirmation from the guest
(including the same information) can also serve as proof.
People who are self-employed or are owners or co-owners of a company can provide
comparable proof. This could also be a written statement that includes the guest’s
income tax identification number.
Providing information to a hotel to prove that a stay is business-related is voluntary.
If the guest does not want to provide proof to the hotel, he or she can pay the tax and

How to get there

A) From airport Schönefeld
Take the S-bahn S9 (40 min) directly till S-Schönhauserallee. Alternatively, take the train (22 min) till Alexanderplatz. Once in Alexanderplatz, follow the “U” signs and change with the U2, direction Pankow. After four stations, get off at station Schönhauserallee. Take the Dänenstr, after 4 streets you will cross the Driesenerstr.

B) From airport Tegel
Take the bus X9 or 109 till S-bahn Jungfernheide. Here take the “ring” S-bahn S41 direction Gesundbrunnen and get off at Schönhauserallee. Take the Dänenstr, after 4 streets you will cross the Driesenerstr.

C) From Train Station Haupbtahnhof
Catch one of the S-bahn in direction Alexanderplatz and get off at Alexanderplatz. Here change for the U2 (see point A)

D) from Train and S-bahn station Gesundbrunnen. (Approx. 1km walk)

Food rests, garbage and empty bottles

Unless you are running late to the airport... it would be nice if you could find the time to remove any food rests from the fridge and to take downstairs the garbage and all the empty bottles. With respect to bottles, remember that here in Germany there is often a caution on plastic bottles and beer glass bottles up to 25 cents each. Inside the supermarket REWE, in the Schivelbeinerstr., you will find the machine where to get this money back.

Recycling

Please recycle during your stay in the flat. Use a separated bag for all plastic and metal packaging and for paper. When leaving the flat, throw the paper in the blue bins, and packaging in the yellow bins in the court, respectively.
Here you can also throw away glas bottles without a caution. Please notice that transparent glas has a different bin than green/brown (grün/braun) glas. To get the deposit of beer bottles etc back, you can use the machine at the entrance of supermarket REWE, in the Schivelbeinerstr.

Green Energy

The energy that you will consume in this flat is 100% green, i.e. obtained from renewable sources like wind and sun. It is obviously more expensive that the non-green one. Please support my engagement for environment by switching off the lights when you don’t need them.

Heating

El departamento estaba equipado con elementos de primera calidad, muy prolijo todo. El vecindario muy tranquilo pero a la vez al alcance de todo (restaurantes, supermercados, transporte) Excelente experiencia muy recomendable para una pareja!

Michele es muy agradable y el departamento esta muy bien ubicado solo a unas 3 cuadras y media de la estacion de metro. El departamento es amplio y acogedor pero para estadias mas largas la cocina podria tener mas implementos! Los muebles de la pieza son antiguos y no se encontraban muy limpios. En el baño tuve un problema de goteo pero yo no le avise a tiempo a michele! Creo que lo iba a solucionar.

Pour une première expérience Airbnb, nous sommes très satisfaits. À défaut d'être présent, Michele était disponible par mail et (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) et tout était très clair (instructions préalables). L'appartement était assez spacieux et vraiment très calme.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Wohnung von Michele. Er oder seine Familie waren zu jeder Zeit als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung, vielen Dank nochmal für die schnelle Reaktion beim kaputten Föhn. Grundsätzlich fand ich es etwas zu teuer für die Größe und die Lage der Wohnung. Ich persönlich fand es zu zweit zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Alles in allem aber tolle Vermieter und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

We had a great time in staying here. The apartment is a great base to explore berlin from and is comfortable and well located. There are supermarkets and lovely cafes and restaurants very close by, along with the great sights and things to do. We'd definitely stay again!
