Our three bedroom cottage is situated along the Green River on a quiet dirt road. Come bask in the beauty of rural Vermont. Sit on the front deck and enjoy the sounds of the river and stargaze while surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the rolling hills. Take a short stroll to the historic village of Green River and take in the quaint charm of the dam, covered bridge and colonial-era church. Our cottage is the perfect place to relax or to enjoy all the area has to offer.

El espacio
You'll have access to the entire house and private yard. Access the brook behind the barn, or enter behind the mailboxes, our property is bordered by Roaring Brook and Green River.

We have a fully stocked kitchen- plenty of dishes, cutlery, and cookware. Gas range/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and programmable drip coffee maker.

We also have a charcoal grill to enjoy BBQ meals-OUTSIDE USE ONLY.

For entertainment we have a Roku device so you can stream TV and movies, hand drums, board games, children’s books and other miscellaneous reads.

**No baseboard heaters upstairs, so it stays colder than main floor during cold weather, but we have lots of extra blankets to keep you toasty warm. We suggest placing one of our fans (on low) at the bottom of stairs to push the warm air up. In the summer it is hotter than the downstairs, but we'll have a fan in each room to help keep you cool. There is an A/C in the downstairs living room during summer months. Fans will be there all year for those who like white noise for sleeping.**

**No need to bring bottled water. We have the best tasting well water in Vermont!**

**You will need winter tires, or AWD/4WD during the winter months and during Spring mud season.**

Otros aspectos destacables
We are off the beaten path. It’s a 20 minute trip to Brattleboro, where you will find the nearest grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations, so please plan ahead;) You will also travel on about four miles of dirt road to get here.

Greenfield, MA is a 25 minute drive where you’ll find the same amenities that Brattleboro has to offer.

There are no baseboard heaters in the upstairs bedrooms, so those two rooms stay cooler in cold weather. We do have plenty of extra blankets in upstairs chest so you’ll stay toasty.

Snow tires, or AWD/4WD are needed in the winter months and during spring mud season.

There is no cell service in our area. We do have WiFi and a landline.

Not shown in photos, but we do have cordless blinds in upstairs bedrooms.

We live in an area popular with bikers, walkers, and runners for the MILES of quiet country dirt roads. Stroll, bike, or jog the 3.5 mile loop around Pulpit Mountain, which is bordered by the Green River and Roaring Brook. If not feeling that ambitious, walk down to the covered bridge and dam, which is a flat, 2.5 mile round trip...or walk for miles South, into Massachusetts. If hills are more your speed, we have that too! Just want to relax? The Green River Crib Dam offers a swimming/wading area, and a lovely shaded picnic area with the covered bridge and Green River Church as a backdrop.

Or just sit tight at the cottage and enjoy the rolling hills from the deck, or sit in patio area for meals and libations.

Mike and I were born and raised in Vermont and have lived in the Green River area of Guilford for 24 years. Three years ago we bought this sweet little cottage down the road from us and completely renovated the interior. We are artisans with an online business, and work out of a shop on our property, right down the road from the cottage. You can see our work throughout the home-we handcraft slate switch plate covers and river rock knobs. We love music, the outdoors, family and life.
