Descripción

Casa Amarela is a beautifully restored house classified as a public monument, this 19th century building, dating from the French i

The city of Castelo de Vide is often referred to as the Sintra of Alentejo, Opposite the church and in the massive main square of Castelo de Vide, this charming 17th century townhouse, now a beautifully restored small hotel. With just 11 rooms, all differently decorated, it is a perfect place from which to explore the fascinating town and surrounding areas. Castelo de Vide, at 850m above sea level, is of Roman origin but it is probably best known for the large Jewish quarter which existed in the middle ages. In the old Jewish quarter of the town, nothing seems to have changed since those times, with cobbled streets, whitewashed houses and mysterious Gothic doorways. One can explore pretty squares, the oldest synagogue in Portugal and, of course, the 14th century castle overlooking the town.

The stylish main square dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, is surrounded by Baroque buildings and is the location of the Casa Amarela. Beautifully restored and classified as a public monument, this 19th century building, dating from the French invasion of the town, is in an ideal location from which toexplore Castelo de Vide with a variety of comfortable bedrooms with either square or mountain view. This charming manor house opened in 2003 and is personally managed by the owner, VictorGuimaraes and his family.

11 air-conditioned rooms including standard rooms and two suites, all with bathroom (bath and shower), hairdryer and satellite LCD TV. Suites are twin bedded, have a separate living room and face either the square or the open countryside behind the town. Traditional and antique furniture. Some rooms will accommodate an extra bed for a child.

We have 10 rooms ( twins and Doubles ), the prices are per room and night.
