Such an amazing little village to stay in close to Nemrut . This is the only place to stay in the village and is also a gorgeous little cafe / restaurant with spectacular views . We had delicious fish for dinner here as well . The room and bathroom are very very basic but fine for me and my three kids . there was air con which was a plus . The village and the setting are worth over the stay . We could only stay one night but would recommend two or more if you can .

The perfect place (betwen Kahta and Nemrut dagi) if you like to get in contact with nature, people (a few locals) and historical sites. Cafe Rome is a modest (very basic services) old cafe/Hostal, located at rural area that makes you feel away of everything (doesn’t even have Internet by the way as says in the description), in time and space, preparing your mood for the best, the magnificient Nemrut dağı. Everything was right, he took me from the bus station, show some historical places, and take me to Nemruton sunset, all services that he charged with extra costs, not really expensive but i recommend to ask for costs before to order anything. May avoid surprises.

Mehmet is a great and friendly guy who will be at your service anytime. His place is in a village in a rural area where you can experience a unique new thing. The village is very close to mount nemrut and other historical place. And his place overlooks the Kahta Castle. It is just a few hundred metres from there.

Mehmet is a really nice host and is willing to help you with everything. Cafe Rome is located very close to Nemrut dağı national park and other sightseeing highlights. The facilities at his place however, are rather basic. İf you like some sort of luxery this won't be your cup of tea.

Mehmet picked us up from the bus station in Kahta and was very nice. He gave us food and gifts and all the tea and coffee we wanted. He took us to Mt. Nemrut (which was amazing!) and other historical sites. There is a beautiful river in his village where you can swim and fish. He lives in a tiny village in a remote area, so there is no night life obviously, but you can have a really different experience and experience village life in a beautiful natural setting. I don't think he overcharged at all (unlike previous reviewer). He is a nice guy who was completely upfront and fair about cost. He basically will be at your service the whole time you are there, driving you everywhere you want to go (unless you rent a car and do it on your own). Do not be afraid to go to southeastern Turkey. There is a lot to see and Mehmet's place is a great place to do it from!

Do not go with Mehmet. HE STEALS FROM TOURISTS. He charged us 400 Turkish Lira ON TOP of our already paid accommodation. He invents trumped up charges: he gives no receipt, has no bill and doesn't explain the charges. 400 Lira is a lot--it is 200 dollars! This does not include accommodation. When we told him we did not want to tip him more than 300 he threatened us! He said he will call the police--and the police would not listen to tourists who don't speak the language.
