This historic garden level (also known as the first floor) apartment is a convenient, efficient home base for your Savannah getaway. And it is an amazing value!
The home you see from the street, a three story 1880s Italianate residence, actually started its life sometime between 1799 and 1809 (circa 1802 according to a past guest who researched it) as a two-story Federal style building.
This apartment is entirely private. Guests have their own laundry, bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen.
You will need to call me at least a day before you come to get a lock box code and confirm you have read all the terms of your rental.

This is an ideal spot for anyone who is flying in and wishes to do without a vehicle. Savannah is a walking city and this location is smack dab in the middle of walker's paradise!
Parking is metered at this location. Weekends are free at meters (from 5pm Friday until 8am Monday) but guests who come for weeknight stays with a vehicle will want to purchase a City of Savannah Day Pass which is $12 for 48 hours or $7 for 24 hours. This pass covers meters and City Garages so it's a great bang for your buck! You can get the pass from the Visitors Information Center or from the front desk of the nearby 17hundred90 Inn.

The apartment has its own front door, so there is no shared space. The main house is owner occupied; its entrance is facing a different street and take note that the historic wooden siding on the main house is in need of a paint job and the owner is aware of it but it is probably going to be a while before he completes this expensive item. It does not affect the apartment but it affects the first impression of the overall "building" since the paint is peeling. Historic preservation comes with many rules (such as keeping real wood siding and single pane windows) and overall these homes always have a to-do list.

Otros aspectos destacables
The central AC is very powerful and the air return is in the bedroom which does create a fairly loud white noise effect. While notable, it should not prevent you from sleeping and some guests have even commented that it blocks out outside noises from the city outside or the owners above.
The owners who live above do have two dogs. They will not share any indoor space with you. You may hear them barking upstairs.
The following is standard Savannah Luxury Rentals information: We provide sheets, toilet paper and soap. Our toilet paper is Scott brand because it decreases the chances of clogged toilet plumbing service calls and it lasts longer decreasing the chance you will run out. If you prefer thick cushioned toilet paper bring it along but use it sparingly in our older plumbing and never flush "flushable" wipes or other products that are likely to cause a clog.
Check in is 3pm or later the day of arrival, checkout is by 11am on the day of departure.
Quiet Hours after 10pm (city ordinance)
Follow Checkout Procedure Prior to Departure, guests must Wash ALL Dishes and take out their trash. Trash goes to City of Savannah trash cart on wheels in the alley next to 149 Habersham (next house over).
