Enjoy views from your upstairs oasis: 1 bedroom, kitchen, & bath. Slip out your private entrance to hike Joppenbergh. Rent a bike, ride the rail-trail. View the valley from the trestle. Walk to local eateries, and cinema, or just relax by the river.

Enjoy original art by local artists. Views of trestle, river, mountain and town. And the occasional Bald Eagle, Canadian geese and Blue Heron. The bed is ready for you, made with cotton sheets, fluffy pillows, blankets and comforters with more to spare. You will also find lots of clean towels for each guest on your bed and in the bathroom. The bathroom is also stocked with liquid/bar soap, toiletries, first aid items and a hairdryer. The kitchen has the basics, a few pots and pans, toaster, french press for coffee and teapot for tea drinkers. Plates, glasses, cutlery for four, a knife, cutting board. Refer to the photos. You will need to bring your own spices beyond salt and pepper.

You have your own entrance to the whole second floor. The door faces the road. This space is self contained, all for you. You are encouraged to come sit by the river and dine outdoors. You have your own parking space right next to the entrance to where you will be staying. There is a second parking space behind the house.

Your private entrance is at the front of the house, facing the road. Your parking space is also in front of the house, near your entrance, with an additional parking space down the driveway, directly behind the house. Please unload in one of these parking spaces since we have a shared driveway that needs to be open for our neighbors. You will NOT use the porch door entrance facing the river. This is our seperate entrance. We will only see if you want to see us. The porch door is our separate access.

We encourage you to try out the great cuisine in our neighborhood. The Cheese Shop just opened an outdoor wood fired yummy Mediterranean restaurant called the Garden House. The Rosendale Cafe has an eclectic vegetarian cuisine with live wonderful music every weekend. Check their website for full details. ByWater Bistro is an elegant dinner out with fresh local flavors. The Alternative Bakery has all kinds of treats including vegan fare. There is a burgers and fries type bar-grill, Red Brick Tavern, complete with sports on the TV bar with pool type vibe. The diner, 32Lunch is located on Rt 32, the ultimate diner gigantic breakfast for the pancake lovers complete with boisterous host. Next door to 32Lunch is a Chinese Take out, a supermarket, pizza place and Dollar General. Also on Route 32, next to the blue bridge is Matsu, an ecclectic sushi, japanese and chinese menu, very rustic yet upscale interior next to the Wine Shop, Bobby and Mary can help you select something nice for a picnic. These choices are all walkable. Within ten minutes by car, you can drive to New Paltz for delish sushi at Hokkaido or drive to High Falls for comfort food / brunch items at The Kitchenette or The Eggs Nest or The Last Bite. There is even a new seasonal cafe on the Rail trail ( Memorial day through October). Rent bikes and head toward New Paltz and you will hit it. There is a cheese shop with some vegetables and to go salads, chips, desserts. There is also a large grocery store at the other end of town, a ten minute walk and a Farmer's Market on Sunday behind the Rosendale Theatre, community run movie house which shows independent features, music and theatrical venues.

No need for a car. You can take the Adirondack Trailways Bus from Port Authority to Rosendale. The house is a fifteen minute walk, past Market Market, along tree lined James Street. You can also rent a bike at TRT Favata Bicycles located next to the Trailways stop. The house is only steps from Main street and the Rail Trail.

Although the space is airy and accommodates all your needs, there is no official living room. In the bedroom, there are lots of art books to read. We also do not provide breakfast since there are so many yummy places to check out in the neighborhood.

Your place was truly lovely. The pictures do not do it justice! Took my boyfriend here for a relaxing hiking getaway. There was minimal contact but that was because they made everything so accessible. Felt high end but also very cozy. Beautiful natural lighting in the bedroom. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for letting us experience your cozy little abode!

We loved our stay with Sean & Hope. The apartment was immaculate and very cozy, just a few steps from the rail trail and a short walk to shops and restaurants in town - we didn't have a car and I can't imagine a better location in Rosendale. Communication was very clear and prompt, everything went smoothly and they both made us feel very welcome and at ease. Would love to come back!

You could not ask for a better airbnb experience. Sean and Hope were communicative, gave great tips for the area, and most importantly, have a wonderful home in an idyllic setting. The bedroom is large, has four big and bright windows, with great views of the river and the trestle bridge. Rosendale has a lot to offer, but I wouldn't miss the hike up to the top of Mt. Joppenbergh. The home is clean, spacious, and very comfortable.

We had an excellent stay at Sean & Hope's place. It is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants in Rosendale and the Wallkill Rail trail. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

We are Educators, Designers, Artists. We both used to live in NYC. We met in Rosendale and have lived in this house for 10 years and have gotten to know the neighbors, community, artists, musicians, biologists, ex-NYC-ers, writers. Its a wonderful mix of folks. We walk, hike, ride our bikes. There is a bike rental right next to Market Market. There is a Farmer's Market from June through October, to buy fresh produce on Sunday mornings. Yoga Yoga is within walking distance for morning serenity. Rosendale Cafe has fresh music most weekends. The Rosendale Theatre shows independent first run features all run by volunteers. But what we like most is our house by the river. Air B-n-B is nice way to for us to share our beautiful home with folks. We are not a hotel. We love that when people stay here, they treat the house with respect; in appreciation for the comfortable, beautiful space we have created. Hope to see you here.
