Asa Land is located in the heart of Orkhon valley cultural landscape along the bank of Orkhon River, in Karakorum, which was the ancient capital city of Mongol empire, some 380 km away from present capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar. For the travelers visiting UNESCO heritage Site in Orkhon valley is an excellent choice for rest and rejuvenation. We are continually seeking to be a leader in sustainable tourism practices for the region. Well-known for its family environment and proximity to great restaurants, historical heritage landmark will be the reason to visit Orkhon valley. The Asa Land set stage of for development of sustainable tourism concept in Mongolia by opening its doors in 2005 as Dream Land. In 2019 we created a new concept to Mongolian traditional ger on adding a new futuristic architectural solution, but we kept our nomadic spirit. Our idea is to preserve natural spaces, to promote local culture and to support a fair and equitable economy. We were involved in supporting the design of a project to assist the Mongolian government in developing sustainable eco- friendly tourism in the country’s protected natural reserves as well as designed to be compliant with the principals of sustainable tourism. We take а great pride in welcoming you with traditional Mongolian hospitality and providing the highest standard of service. Our staff is dedicated to making every stay at the Asa Land a comfortable, relaxing and memorable experience. Asa Land oriented to preserve our nomadic traditional culture and our staff reflects just that. All of our staff are based locally, and this allows our guests to experience a unique cultural exchange where they can learn and understand the local customs and history of Mongolia. ORKHON VALLEY UNESCO HERITAGE SITES & NATURE RESERVES
The 121,967-ha Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape encompasses an extensive area of pastureland on both banks of the Orkhon River and includes numerous archaeological remains dating back to the 6th century. Traders and dignitaries as far as from Europe visited the capital city of Karakorum to represent their countries. The site also includes Karakorum, the 13th- and 14th-century capital of Chinggis Khan’s vast Empire, where is it located our Asa Land, and only 3 km to the earliest surviving Mongol Buddhist monastery from the main entrance of our camp. The archeologically rich Orkhon River basin was the home of successive nomadic cultures which evolved from prehistoric origins in harmony with the natural landscape of the steppes and resulted in economic, social and cultural systems to unique to region, linking East and West across the vast Eurasian landmass for centuries. If you enjoy being close to nature, you will be able to find spell binding spectacles at Naiman Nuur Lake, Ugii Nuur Lake, Orkhon waterfall and many other spectacular places in Orkhon Valley.
