Descripción

A modern, warm and colorful apartment, decorated with design articles and nerdy Star Wars effects. The location is right between the main city centre, hipster-paradise Grünerløkka and trendy St.Hanshaugen, and in walking distance of almost every part of the city. Practically next door to lots of concert venues, creative restaurants, trendy bars, hipster shops and the most famous street art spot of the city. Quiet bedroom facing the calm and beautiful back yard.

Our apartment is not big, but newly renovated and very cozy. All of our friends just love to spend time here, because of it's warm atmosphere. It's playfully decorated with a lot of matching colors, design articles and nerdy Star Wars objects.

The combined kitchen and living room has a dining table for 4-6 people and a huge couch. There is a flat screen TV, a professional speakers (my partner is a sound engineer) and a big writing desk. The view is down a broad road (Hausmanns gate) and you can see the horizon over the Ekeberg hill, even the sunrise if you're up early. That's quite unique for a 3rd floor apartment in the middle of the city.

The bedroom is facing the back yard, so it's nice and quiet even though it's in the middle of town.

The bedroom fits two people in a 120 cm wide bed. But the couch is also spacious and a person can sleep on it very comfortably. Even two people can fit on it, but maybe not as comfortably. But I would recommend the apartment for a person traveling alone or a couple.

The bathroom is quite small, but fresh and modern, decorated all in bright orange.

You'll have access to everything that I haven't put away. Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, soda streamer, WiFi, flat screen TV, a collection of fantasy and scifi-movies.

Please note that the water from the tap is fully drinkable, you do not need to buy water. All Norwegians drink from the tap and the water quality is great!

I don't have a DVD-player, but I do have a HDMI adaptor for your computer that's plugged into the TV if you wanna watch a movie.

You'll also have access to the cozy back yard with benches, a grill, and a lawn that get lots of sun in the middle of the day.

When we're renting out it usually means that we're out of town. Then I'll leave the keys at the local restaurant or you'll meet my friend Nina to get the keys. She's lovely and would probably love to give you some tips.

Whenever someone says "Come join us at..." it's never more then a 5 minute walk. It's right next to the concert venues Blå, Revolver, Rockefeller, John Dee, Sentrum Scene, The Cross Road Club, Pokalen and Vulkan Arena.

It's just some hundred meters away from the popular Torggata, which is a lively street full of trendy bars and restaurants. Torggata leads you to Youngstorget, a square known to be the best place to go out in Oslo, and further on to Karl Johan which is the main pedestrian street in Oslo with a lot of (commercial) shopping. Karl Johan starts at the Central Station and ends up at the royal castle.

If you take Torggata the other way, you'll get to the trendy part of the city called Grünerløkka. There's also an even faster way to get there walking from me, just a couple of minutes. In Günerløkka you'll find cozy cafes, unique restaurants and independent small shops with all sorts of treasures.

Almost between me and Grünerløkka is a place called Vulkan, which has just been built. Vulkan features many bars and restaurants but is most known for Mathallen - a huge food court with a lot of interesting food.

If you walk in the other direction from the apartment you'll soon get to the calm neighborhood of St.Hanshaugen. The walk takes you through Vår Frelsers Gravlund, a public cemetery where a lot of the most famous Norwegian people are buried, and with a lot of fancy tombstones! At St. Hanshaugen there's some nice shops, especially for healthy and environmental food. And the park there is really nice with a lovely view at the top.

The only thing my apartment it's not close to is the western part of the city. So if you wanna mingle with the less culture interested and more fancy population, it might not be the place for you. ;)

It's a 2 minute walk to the busses 34 and 54 (stops at Jakob kirke/Møllerveien and Møllerveien/Calmeyers gate). A 5 minute walk to the tram and more busses in Hausmannsgate. It's about a 15 minute walk to the subway; Stortinget, Oslo S/Jernbanetorget and Grønland is equally close. But usually most things are close enough that walking is actually the mose efficient.

You're welcome to use things like salt, oil, coffee or soap - in genereal stuff that you're only gonna use a little bit of. Also if I have vegetables that wont stay fresh until I get back.

If you see that my plants need watering, I'd be happy if you wanna give them some water. :)

I'm a 27 year old girl from the very north of Norway. I moved to Oslo eight years ago and attended the design faculty at the National Academy of the Arts. Today I work as a freelancer, working mostly with music promotion and props for films.

I love to travel and wanna start renting out my apartment while I'm traveling so that I can earn money to travel more, and so that my beloved apartment won't get lonely.

Working in the culture scene I couldn't have found a better location to live. I bought my apartment 3,5 years ago, and I'm not ever moving!

I'm in to animal rights, fantasy books, science fiction movies, wheat beer and heavy music.
