Atención a los huéspedes

If you want to go back in time to an old growth forest and a natural stream our property has a direct trail to Joshua's Trust.
Our home is laid back and lived in and welcoming ! Your room and bathroom will be very clean, but as in most homes; you may see some mail or laundry laying around, a pile of things here or there, or some dishes in the sink. We love a clean home but please expect it to look lived in! :)
Our driveway is a bit rough. It is a 1/2 mile long and has some potholes from the harsh winter. Please expect to have to drive slowly down it and to have to avoid some potholes. Consider the driveway to be an adventure! If you have a rental car, no worries!
We have two dogs. Our German Shepard looks and sounds very vicious at first, but we can assure you she is really just a big scaredy cat! She will not bite you! She looks scary but she isn't! She is a big baby. Her name is Jasmine. Our chihuahua, Buddy, generally stays in bed with Tracy.
Please clean up after yourself, no excessive drinking, no parties without prior consent, and please be respectful. Smoking only permitted outside and away from house. No pets please as we have three of our own.
Otherwise we would like you to enjoy yourself and have fun.

Blake and I are both in our mid 50's, laid back, and very young at heart! We have two sons, 27 and 22 with the younger one living at home. We have a German Shepard named Jasmine who is our older son's dog, but we often watch her so she is here quite a bit. We also watch our 2 year old granddaughter fairly often, so we are fully set up here for babies!
We are very easy going, fun loving, kind hearted people with a great sense of humor. We are Christians who relate well to everyone regardless of faith; and are LGBTQ friendly! Our home is very relaxed and laid back, lived in, and comfortable. It is large and spacious and offers plenty of privacy.
We love hosting people and getting to meet new friends! Though we do live in the house, we will offer you as much privacy as you like. Most of the time you will hardly see us at all. If you prefer to socialize and enjoy meeting new friends through Airbnb , just let us know and we can be a bit more present!
We would like to know a little bit about you before you come to stay, so we will ask you for your full name, where you live, what brings you here, and anything else you care to share.
A little more about us personally....Tracy is a social worker and previously had a busy private practice out of our home. Before that, she founded a large domestic violence program at UMass and directed it for over a decade. She also worked as an ER and ICU social worker there. Tracy was affected by chronic illness about 13 years ago, and has Myasthenia Gravis. She is often in our bedroom due to this. She has good days and bad days. She works online now as a therapist, so she is often in our room working away. She is also a night owl, and is up very late working but not so much in the morning!
Blake has struggled with Chronic Lyme Disease for more than 15 years. He had to stop working because of this many years ago. He is usually here and able to help you with anything you need, as well as turning the hot tub, pool lights, jets, etc on and off as you desire. He does spend time resting in our room as well.
Cody is 22, and when he isn't in class he is usually in his room working on his novel or taking a break playing video games. He is fairly shy, but loves meeting new people of any age. Please feel free to say hello to him! He has had a blast joining in with some of our college aged guests from UConn who have held parties here, as well as with young people in families and groups. We love to see him socializing, so feel free to reach out to him if you like!
Our granddaughter Ella is almost two, and we usually take her a night or two a week, so she is sometimes here when we have guests as well. Her nursery is off our bedroom, so we are pretty self contained in our room with our bathroom and the nursery.
If you are looking for privacy, you will hardly see us, and we want you to feel as if you have the entire house to yourself. We make a concerted effort not to get in your way at all.
If you enjoy making new friends, let us know! We love to see Cody meeting and socializing with new people as he is quite shy. We love meeting new friends, and are happy to share a meal with you or spend some time talking if you like.
We especially appreciate it when people share a plate of food with us when they are having an event. Due to chronic illness, we are not able to prepare meals very often, and that is a real treat! We have really loved having the opportunity to try delicious ethnic foods when we have had international guests!
We strive to do whatever we can to make you comfortable. Welcome!
