Spacious and very sunny double bedroom in charming Newington area is awaiting for travellers wanting to experience this beautiful city. Room is greatly benefits from quiet and yet superbly central location to everything that makes Edinburgh amazing.

You'll be welcomed into a bright and airy Georgian-era three bedrooms flat, with its high ceilings and big windows, complemented by brand new floors and all the amenities you'd expect. The apartment consists of a comprehensively equipped open plan kitchen and a big natural stone tiled bathroom. Facing southeast, the flat has a sunny outlook onto a quiet residential street during the day. It is situated on the second floor and is accessed by a common spiral staircase. To the rear of the building, there is a shared garden.

The bedroom available for you is suitable for couples or a single person and is very spacious, bright and cozy. It’s a beautiful space with character, original features and a comfortable double bed ensuring a good rest. In addition to the double bed, there is also a writing desk, chairs, mirror and a big wardrobe for storage. I will provide you with all the essentials to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Additional two double rooms in the apartment may be available to rent for friends or family groups of up to six. Please inquire directly with me or check other listing on Air BnB.

With your stay in the flat you will be welcomed by tea, coffee, a self-serve continental breakfast. You are more than welcome to make yourself at home and use the kitchen, living space and all the amenities provided. Throughout the flat you will find free and unlimited high-speed wireless Internet. The apartment also benefits from a microwave, fan oven, gas hobs, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, washing machine and central heating.

We are both young professionals and huge enthusiasts of Edinburgh, therefore we will be happy to give you great recommendations for restaurants, pubs, bars, walks, shopping and fabioulous Edinburgh’s attractions. If you are planning on staying a few days, go ahead and book if the calendar shows your dates are available. However, if you are thinking of staying longer, we are able to offer discounts for stays of more than a week.

You will be sharing use of the kitchen/living room and bathroom in the flat with the other AirBnb guest (maximum 4 persons).

Check in is from 2pm and check out is till 11:00am. If you're arriving earlier than this, the Edinburgh bus station in the centre of town holds luggage. Please let me know in advance when you will arrive.

I will greet my guests on arrival to hand over keys, explain the flat and answer all your queries. After your arrival you're welcome to come and go as you visit this beautiful city. You will get my email address and phone number when your booking is confirmed.

You may also interact with other AirBnb guests whom you might share the flat with.

It is also very important for me to know a little about you such as where you live, why you are coming to Edinburgh and things you like to do in the city. The flat is located in Newington area (Montague Street), just south of the Old Town – within fifteen minutes walking distance of most of the main sites in Old Town (the Castle, Holyrood Palace, the Galleries on the Mound, the National Museum of Scotland) and also within easy walking distance from elegant Princes Street (packed with stores), Waverley train station, which is where the airport bus also drops its passengers and most major film and theatre venues.

The neighborhood is very lively with plenty amenities nearby. Nicholson/Clerk Street is one of the best streets in Edinburgh for charity shops and one of the best coffee shops in town .

If you fancy eating out, the Newington area is lined with great pubs, bars, restaurants and takeaways. There is also a wide choice of local supermarkets, deli shops, bakeries, small shops and health food shops.

The flat is surrounded by two of the most iconic Edinburgh green spaces.
In one direction, the 63 acres parkland known as The Meadows is five minutes from the apartment ( Meadows also has a fantastic play park, which will be very popular with those traveling with young kid). The same amount of time in the opposite direction you will need to get to Holyrood Park and Salisbury Crags where you can find yourself immersed in a mini wilderness and admire amazing Edinburgh’s panoramic views from the top of the glorious Arthur’s Seat.
So if you are a walker or a jogger, don’t forget to pack your trainers or walking shoes. You must go for a walk or run around Arthur’s Seat.

Edinburgh is a compact city and the flat is really central. The views in Edinburgh are so good I thoroughly recommend you travel by foot.

However, if you want to travel by bus Edinburgh does have a great bus network and the flat is just off a main street on which most of the major bus routes run. In addition, we are not far from the new tram connection to the airport, and even closer, the Airlink bus.

The main Railway station, Edinburgh Waverley, and the main bus station are about 20 minutes walk away, and there are a stream of buses going that way, or you can easily grab a short taxi ride.

A quick note on parking - on the street parking is free on weekends and evenings after 5:30pm. The Pay and Display system means that you pay between 8:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday.
