Descripción

This cozy (150 Sq. ft.) room with a private half bath is located in a pre-war building in Historic Harlem, centrally located (5 train routes, 9 bus routes), Broadway is a half black away. The apartment is very stimulating and creative.

The room is located in a spacious 3 bedroom apartment in a well maintained 111 year old building in one of the most upcoming, desirable, livable, multicultural neighborhoods in Upper Manhattan. The host is an educator, entertainer and local historian and a Native New Yorker. He is also an English teacher for those who need assistance with the language.

Guests will have access to the kitchen and all of its utensils, the master bath and shower, the living room and the dining room.

I am very interested in meeting different people from all over and sharing my knowledge of New York and all it has to offer. I am proud of my home in Harlem and will do everything to make sure my guests are so comfortable that they will want to come back.

I love that my village Harlem is 356 years old and encompasses the breadth of our country's existence and the many untold stories of the many different people who have lived here over the ages. I love that I can shop and get whatever I need without having to go downtown. There are parks and recreation facilities available to everyone. I love having a choice between many different ethnic cuisines. Latin, Asian, Middle Eastern, Anglo and Afro-American restaurants dot the streets and the prices are cheaper than downtown. There are trendy new bars popping up all over the place and Hamilton Heights, Harlem is truly an exciting place to be. The neighborhood is building back up to its former glory and I am proud to host here.

Hamilton Heights, Harlem is literally a transit hub all its own. You can take the train (lines 1, A, B, C & D) or the bus (routes M and Bx19.) You can get a free transfer from the M11, M101 or M100 to the M60 to LaGuardia Airport. If you go 34 blocks north to W.178th St. and Broadway, you can access the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal and bus service to New Jersey. Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway are always crowded with green and yellow cabs. It is very convenient and at all hours of the day.

New York is the place to be and Harlem is the Big Apple of New York's eye!!
