Ground floor of stately 1870’s house on quiet, tree lined street a short walk to major shopping, entertainment and dining. Spacious interior combines original architectural features, antique and modern furniture with contemporary art. Great kitchen. Adapted for handicaped persons.
The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, herbs, nuts, dried fruit etc. and within reason guests are welcome to use them; just replace anything that runs out.
Smoking is acceptable sitting at the dining room table and using the blue ashtrays but not in the bedrooms or sitting on the white couch in the living room. The blue ashtrays are particularly effective in assuring that lit cigarettes do not fall out (an ex-smoker knows).

As well as the reading, research, attendance at films and live performances etc. required by my work, I enjoy: cooking (and have small and extensively equipped kitchen); contemporary visual arts (and have a modest eclectic collection); gardening (mostly flowers, herbs, edible greens and small fruit) in a backyard garden.
I travel a fair amount for my work mostly in Europe.
