It was dark when we arrived and it was a little difficult to find but once we pulled over and I heard the dogs barking, I knew it was the right place. Nestor's brother, Hector, welcomed us and put away the dogs. Pilar, Nacho and Prince are sooo excited that they just cannot contain themselves! They are sweet little dogs, and understand simple commands like "get back" so you can come and go through the gate without them getting loose. I suggest guests back into the driveway to park or park in the street as it seems to be a main drag through town. Of course, with the events going on that weekend the roads were pretty packed. Nonetheless, the back house was as described: private, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The aroma of papaya guava trees on the property is wonderful! Guests enter the little back house through its laundry/bathroom area which was awkward at times, but manageable. There is a little fridge and a real nice fan that was a huge blessing given the heat those few days. The bed is very comfortable and we slept very well. Nice taco place down the street. Woke up to parrots flying through the sky from the neighbors yard, that was pretty awesome! Nestor is quick to respond to text messages or guests can knock on the front door. Definitely recommend if you are going to the Rose Bowl or JPL!
