Información sobre este anuncio

Situated near the tiny, remote village of Ardfield on the Wild Atlantic Way in beautiful West Cork, Seascape Cottage is cute and quirky with panoramic sea views. Part of a barn conversion, the cottage has bags of exposed wood and Irish vintage charm.

El alojamiento

Seascape cottage is part of a barn conversion, next to Holy Well Cottage. It is an upside-down house with an open-plan living space upstairs and two compact double rooms and a shower room downstairs. Upstairs there is a kitchen and sitting/dining space with a log burning stove. There is an adjoining conservatory with views over Rosscarbery Bay and beyond. Attached to the conservatory is a deck with a BBQ and a viewing platform so you can sit outside and enjoy the view! With quirky details, a clutter of books about Ireland and lots of vintage Irish crockery you can have a truly authentic Irish holiday at Seascape cottage.

Servicios y zonas comunes

Seascape cottage has it's own private outside space but there are further seating areas outside Holy Well Cottage overlooking St. James's ancient well. In the summer, this area is a riot of beautiful flowers. The well is surrounded by multi-coloured hydrangeas and you can hear the sound of the babbling brook that flows through it. West Cork at it's beautiful best.

Atención a los huéspedes

Your hosts, Rosie and Mike, live over the road. They are as quirky as their cottages. Rosie plays bodhran in O'Donovan's Hotel, Clonakilty in a traditional Irish music group. She may give you a lesson if you ask nicely! Mike is a great raconteur and can often be found admiring the flowers with a glass of wine in hand, ready for a chat.

Oh wow, where do I even start. First of all this was the absolute best Airbnb experience that we have ever had. We've done a lot of travelling and this was by far the best place that we have ever EVER stayed. The cottage is so special and absolutely a beautiful and charming piece of Ireland. It's exactly what you'd imagine Ireland to be, sitting out on the deck the view takes your breath away! On our last morning a lady strolled by with two horses, such a charming place! But the best part were our most lovely, warm, sweet and amazingly wonderful hosts Rosie and Mike. We had so much fun visiting with them and listening to their stories. Our grown boys loved this place and our hosts so much too, this truly is a place that anyone, any age would love. This wasn't just a place to stay it was a lovely experience. ...we absolutely cannot wait to come back. Thank you Rosie and Mike, we will see you this time next year.

Thank you Cathie, our address is Tra More House, Ardfield, Clonakilty, West Cork, P85 NV07. As we have new guests arriving we will have to wait a couple of days before going to Cork for the replacement door. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Rosie and her husband were friendly, helpful and generous hosts and their little cottage was cosy and the view was just gorgeous. We arrived to lovely homemade bread, butter and marmalade and a warm and comfy home for a couple of nights. It was great to be able to have a quiet cup of tea in the conservatory and look out at those rolling green hills and the sea. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to anyone visiting West Cork.

Lovely cottage in Cork with great hosts. They made us feel very welcome (thank you for the bread, it was delicious) and it felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend staying at Rosie's and hope to be back in Cork some time soon.

What an amazing week! The cottage was absolutely lovely and just what we wanted for our trip to Ireland. It was perfect for a cozy night in after a day exploring West Cork! We especially loved having tea in the conservatory while we looked out at the coastline. The location is beautiful and quiet, but just a stone's throw from a great pub. You're also a 10 minute drive to Clonakilty where there is a fantastic grocery store (lots of local produce), good music, and nice shops. You can see the ocean from the cottage, and in just 10 minutes you can reach some stunning beaches and overlooks by car. The best part of the trip by far was getting to meet Mike and Rosie. I can honestly say that we've never had nicer hosts and we miss them already. We loved hearing their stories and we can't wait to come back for another Irish coffee!
