A friend and I stayed in Fernando's apartment recently. We did not meet Fernando but communicated with Rita and Renzo via Airbnb and text. After booking the room we were asked to pay an additional city tax that was not added to the original price when checking out. This should be made more clear in the posting. Check-in was smooth and simple. We grabbed the key from the security at the Shelbourne hotel and went upstairs. The room was fairly clean, but not perfect. 4 days after checking in, we asked Renzo if our room can be cleaned and he advised that he needed 24-hour notice in order to get in cleaned. We were left without any towels (only 6 towels were given to us) and I sent Renzo multiple text messages. I did not receive a reply so I decided to send the owner a message through Airbnb. They advised me that this is an apartment and they are unable to get me clean towels. I've stayed in Airbnb's before and this has never happened. Owners have always been very inclined to deliver necessities like towels. The hotel staff also made inappropriate comments towards us. Being two young girls, this made our stay quite uncomfortable. The location was definitely a plus. This hotel is centrally located in South Beach making it very convenient to get around.

Crizia, in the description of the unit it is clearly explained that we collect Miami taxes. It is not a surprise or something we charge once our guest booked. As regards towels or linens we also explain that this is a private apartment so we do not change it during the stay, there is no hotel service. Thank you

Fernando's place lists itself as great for families. However, it never lived up to that. When we arrive, we were struck by the rudeness of the security staff who initially did not want to let my BF in. The instructions need to be clearer that all parties' names need to be submitted for entry to the room. The room is in bad disrepair and needs to be upgraded including the carpet needs to be changed (i.e. Iron burn in it) and cleaned. As an Airbnb host myself, I expect a level of service and this property did not meet it. Most importantly, if this is market to families, we had to go to the front desk twice based on the rowdiness and noise of the crowd in the hotel- it is far better suited for bachelor parties and spring breakers

Stunning location and great deal. The room is inside the magnificent Shlburne Hotel. Spacious room, superbe swimming pool. A few steps from the mall Lincoln Road, 20 minutes by feet from ocean drive and coveniently located on the beach.
