Bakuriani is an old resort of our childhood that is rapidly developing. We chose to revisit it after many years and this time with our one-year-old daughter. Although there are many new hotels and guesthouses in Bakuriani, they are not always worth the price, as their infrastructure and services lag behind the modern standards. This is why we chose to rent the apartment instead of staying at a hotel. We were very glad we did it. The apartment is bright, cozy, and comfortable. It is a perfect size for a family. There were four of us and the space was fine. The place has what we consider a perfect location in Bakuriani. It is right by the Tatrapoma skiing area, as you exit the building you are literally by the ski lift. Unlike many other places in Bakuriani, it is off the busy and smoky roads where four-wheelers pass by constantly. The backyard of it is full of trees (practically a forest) and yet, it is close enough for a short ride or a nice stroll to the busy and smoky town center. There is a Nikora market, which has food and basic items in 8 minutes of walking distance. The kitchenette of the apartment is well equipped with everything for cooking your own meals. The washing machine and a back-up heating unit are nice additions. The bathroom is spacey enough (also a scarcity for many rental apartments). The hosts are very nice and were very responsive to our needs, even though they do not always live on premises. There is a free WiFi connection, aslo a scarcity in Bakuriani. As experienced travelers (both within Georgia and oversees), and Aribnb hosts ourselves for two apartments, we certainly recommend this place. Thanks to Eka and Bejan for our nice stay.
