5 minutes walk to the Cathedral Quarter and 5 minutes drive to the Titanic Quarter and SSE Arena. A taxi from City Airport is under £10. The Express 300 bus to/from Aldergrove Intl Airport stops nearby at Ulster University campus, York Street.

The room is spacious with a comfortable new KING SIZE bed. There is also a writing desk and chair. There are complementary tea making facilities in the room. The room was recently decorated and is a sunny yellow with silk curtains and parquet flooring and has high ceilings. There is a wardrobe and another chest of drawers.

This Victorian building is nicely laid out as it was built specially for the bank manager and his family as their home in 1893. In the Victoria period the Bank Manager was an important person and the accommodation provided was of a high standard, spacious and comfortable by the standards of the day. The bank manager and his family occupied the premises from 1893 onwards and subsequent bank managers after them. Records show they had a live-in domestic servant. The bank commissioned The architect Vincent Craig who was the younger brother of the first Prime Minister of Northern Ireland. The building was constructed by H&J Martin who later went on to build the Belfast City Hall. Today there are no servants and you are invited to stay and experience a little of what the bank manager and his family enjoyed over 120 years ago! Sadly after the bank abandoned the building during the recession it lay empty and neglected for a number of years but thankfully it has now been totally refurbished and returned to its original use as a family home.

Food is not allowed in the bedroom. There is a reception area on the ground floor where food may be eaten.

The shared bathroom is large and has a power shower, sink, WC and the original Victorian roll top bath. There are two additional separate toilets on the next floor also.

This spacious double bedroom has shared access to the lovely bathroom with walk-in shower on their floor. On the next floor there is a walk-in shower room and two toilets on that level. The rest of the inside of the building has a strict no smoking policy.

I am usually around but I leave it up to the guests to decide on the level of interaction they prefer as this can vary. Most people have plans of how they want to spend their time visiting Belfast and I can help with any questions you might have. I have taken some guests for a walk around the nearby Cathedral Quarter and town . When I am not cleaning I am usually at my computer or watching telly or doing some ironing in the living room! Your welcome to pop in and have a chat anytime I am there or even watch TV if you like.

There is high speed fibre optic wifi so you can download and watch movies on your own laptop.

Maria y yo tuvimos una estancia más que agradable. Damien nos trató maravillosamente. En todo momento trató de aportarnos información de interés, nos facilitó todo tipo de cosas y nos ofreció comida a todas horas. La casa es impresionante, mejor de lo que parece en las fotos. Además de espaciosa es bastante céntrica. En 10-15 minutos andando llegas al centro de la ciudad.

Je conseille ce logement pour son caractère pittoresque, un vrai petit musée et pour l'amabilité et la disponibilité de Damien. Pas trop loin du centre ville et avec la facilité de pouvoir se garer sur place.

Damien is very kind and available to help you as so much possible. The room is very elegant and clear. The bathroom is shared but it is so clear and Damien is always ready to clean it. Everything has been perfect, We strongly advice this accomodation!

We had a really short but nice stay at Damien. He was really welcoming. The room fitted perfectly the description. It is a really nice and cosy Victorian room not so far away from the city center. If we have to come back, Damien's room will be our stay !!

Damien is super friendly and willing to help you with your stay any way he can, including local suggestions like the St. George's Market. The house is a walkable distance from downtown Belfast and an easy trip back from the downtown pubs. Good stay.
