Servicios y zonas comunes
Guests use the entire apartment, which is on the first floor of a traditional house. Neighbours on the upper floor are also my close friends, and can give help if needed. Free parking in the streets around the apartment.
Atención a los huéspedes
I am not in the apartment when guests stay there, but can be contacted by email or phone. A friend or my neighbours will be here to welcome you and give you the keys. I leave a folder of information about the apartment with instructions for using the appliances, and also a folder about local amenities such as restaurants and sightseeing.
Treat the apartment as your home and look after it as you would your own place! No smoking. It is not suitable for young children, and I am sorry, but pets cannot be brought here. Minimum stay 4 nights.

I was born and married in New Zealand, and lived with my historian husband many years in London where our son was born, working as a teacher and bibliographer. I spent eleven years in St Petersburg, at first working on a replica ship building project with my husband; after his death there, I stayed on to teach English and write. In 2009 I settled in Porto, and am absolutely pleased to be living here. I write a lot, read, paint, renovate furniture, cook, entertain friends, and enjoy local life. I read mainly modern literature, history, anthropology and art history - my favourite artists these days are Matisse, Cezanne and Klee. I am an absentee host because I let my apartment when I am not using it, either when travelling, or when using my other apartment in Porto. However I plan meticulously so that guests will have everything they need to feel welcome and enjoy their stay in this lovely apartment. It is calm, quiet and full of light, and yet minutes away from the metro and local station. You are in the historic heart of the city in less than fifteen minutes.
