I appreciate your thorough review and feedback. I wanted to take this opportunity to clarify a couple of points:
1. In the past, we've had AirBnB guests trash our condo - I walked into a broken kitchen drawer, broken glass, broken furniture and stained carpet (before we installed hardwood floors). Since then, we're careful to screen users and tend to only allow guests who have a history with AirBnB and reviews. We reserve the right to cancel reservations if the potential guest is unresponsive or has a negative rating. I'm sure you can understand we're protective of our home.
2. Sorry, we left out the trimming - as I had texted you prior to entering the condo, I needed to access something that was stored in our closet. That molding was accidentally left out in the process. It's very rare that I would ask to access the unit while we have guests staying - however, this was an emergency. Again, I thank you for your flexibility.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and had a good weekend in Vermont. Sounds like you have not had much experience with renting through AirBnB from private owners. It's quite a bit different from staying in a hotel or working with a rental agency. As a homeowner and 12 year Killington resident, I love being able to use AirBnB's service to share my home with AirBnBers who want easy access to the mountain. But if we don't take precautions, it will incur repair costs on our end that will drive up costs or make it impossible for us to continue to rent through this service at all.
Thanks again for taking care of the unit while you were here, and leaving it in excellent condition!
