Our cosy studio lies alongside the River Blyth in the market town of Halesworth. Recently refurbished, ideal as a base from which to explore the Suffolk coast, eight miles away, or just a quiet retreat to simply unwind and recharge.
Our studio is tucked away in our beautiful garden, but in the heart of the town's pedestrianized Thoroughfare with a great choice of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Our hideaway has a remarkable history, in that it was used for regular poetry evenings in the summer of 1916 by members of the Bloomsbury set, who lived in nearby Wissett. We do have a twin and double room in the house also, if you want to stay for one night B and B only. Please send message for more details.
Guests are welcome to access the whole of our garden, as well as the private decking area directly outside the property. Free wi fi. Parking is available at the back of our house. There is also storage for bikes in our shed.
We leave you to your own devices and privacy, but we do like to say hello and give you a warm welcome. The studio is accessible from the back of the house, with a short walk down the garden, so it is very quiet and private.
We love the town because it still retains the old fashioned friendly atmosphere with family run shops and pedestrianized street. There are 3 pubs, lots of cafes and a local theatre. We love biking on the cycle track and beyond and there are many wonderful walks. The coast is only 8 miles away.
There are regular buses to Southwold, Beccles (on the River Waveney Broads) Bungay and Norwich. There are hourly trains to Ipswich and Lowestoft (change at Ipswich for London.) Halesworth station is 5 minutes walk away.
We provide towels, linen and tea towels.
We're sorry we don't allow dogs.
Smoking is permitted in the garden.
