You'll fall in love the moment you set foot in this charming cabin overlooking the Snoqualmie River. Imagine waking up, lighting up the stove, reading while sipping tea on the deck. A perfect place for inspiration, quiet, romance, rejuvenation.

The most unique feature is the view. Oh, and the deck. And the view. And the trees, and did I mention the view? It's really a pretty special place. For 2016 we've added a hot tub, and a dock!

The entire house is yours. Since there's a rather large river right in front of the house I'd imagine you'll mostly wind up relaxing and enjoying the view from the deck or our new hot tub.

There's a barbecue if you feel like grilling, or if you prefer to cook indoors there's a full kitchen with pretty much all the normal things you'd expect to find. Oh, and there's a fire-pit in the table on the deck, it's pretty nice to build a little fire at night and just sit and enjoy the view.

Also, please feel free to use our dock on the river during the summer months. It's a nice place to swim, or if you'd rather not get wet we have one canoe and one kayak that you're welcome to take out. It goes without saying though that we don't know whether you're a strong swimmer, or an experienced canoeist, so please be aware of your limitations around the water and don't get in over your head. In other words, use the dock and watercraft at your own risk.

If you'd like we can arrange to meet you to get you settled in, but if you'd rather just figure things out on your own that's fine too. If you need anything, we're just a phone call away. For the keys, there's a keybox at the house. A couple days before your arrival we'll send you the code for it so you can get in and start your vacation!

The cabin is about ten minutes from either Monroe or Duvall, both of which have plenty of stores and restaurants. Redmond is about twenty minutes away. The cabin itself is pretty secluded, but there's plenty to do close by - the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, Lord Hill Park, hikes off of Highway 2, etc... but honestly, once you're there, I would think leaving will be the last thing on your mind.

The cabin is about a 40 minute drive from Seattle, and Monroe and Duvall are each maybe ten minutes away. There isn't any public transit closer than about four miles away, so unless you are up for a long walk, plan on driving. Biking is also certainly possible. It's also possible, albeit unusual, to arrive via water. If you'd like to try that one let us know and we can coordinate it.

We try to keep the kitchen pretty well stocked with all the normal baking and cooking ingredients. You'll find flour, sugar, salt, eggs, butter, baking powder, all those sorts of things. Oh, and what good would all that be without a genuine vintage waffle iron? We also, generally speaking, have a supply of Jiffy-Pop on hand, because what's the point of having a table with a fire pit in it if you don't have any Jiffy-Pop close at hand!

We've also got an old ice cream maker if you're feeling particularly hungry and strong. It's kind of a fun process if you've never done it. It does take a bit of preparation though, so you might consult a recipe ahead of time.

There's no smoking. Aside from that just treat the place the way you would your own house. We have the check in time set as 2:00 pm and the check out time as 11:00 am so we can get things ready if we have another reservation coming in on the same day. If there isn't someone else booked to come in the day you leave we're really pretty flexible on that, so just ask and we'll try to accommodate if we can.

beautiful view! super cute house. our cell phones (sprint) didn't work so we couldn't communicate with our host super well, which was a bummer when the hot tub broke, but other than that it's very nice there! brian let us check in early and left a bottle of wine for us, super nice! a bit more noise from the highway than expected, but we didn't really mind. perfect spot for an off the grid getaway! thanks brian!

Brian's cabin is the most perfect, beautiful, and comfortable place I've been in a long time. My partner and I spent the rest of our time in Washington wishing we were back at this spot. Brian is the best host who was extremely helpful, communicative and lighthearted. Perfect experience. I hope I get to come back.

What a lovely location and a lovely home! The cabin is built for beautiful views of the river, trees, hills, and mountains, from literally every room. The location combines easy and quick access if you're driving from Seattle, with a fully stocked grocery store just a 10 minute drive away, with the feel of being completely secluded, even though one is just off the road. The combination of the very cozy pellet stove and the skylight made for a lovely experience of relaxing on the couch and listening tot he rain come down outside, while being completely comfortable. On clear nights, the hot tub or the fire table on the deck made for perfect outdoor relaxing, enjoying the sounds of the river and the life around it. Brian has made sure the place has a lot of little comforts provided, while still feeling like one has unplugged a bit from the rush of day to day life. A perfect spot to have a getaway for two, or even just to go reset on one's own.

This was our second time staying at Brian's cabin and it was even better than the first with addition of the hot tub! Thank you for your hospitality and great get away spot!

We started out our honeymoon in WA here and it was the perfect, restful getaway. Cozy and amazing view, close to take a trip to Snoqualmie Falls or other attractions. The breakfast and wine and hot tub were also our favs!

We really enjoyed staying at this cozy cabin on the river. It has a beautiful view of an undeveloped nature area and we were visited by hummingbirds each morning. The hot tub and pellet stove were great for relaxing after a big day. The host was very responsive and provided all the basics we needed in the kitchen. I would happily recommend this place to a friend.

I live in Seattle, and really my favorite thing to do is sit on that deck and take pictures of the river.
