In the heart of the Pyrenees, perfectly located to enjoy skiing, cycling, walking, relaxing and so much more. Sumptuous beds and crisp linens, birdsong and the gentle sounds of the stream bordering Gite Belle Vie await you.
Servicios y zonas comunes
Your gite has it's own south facing patio which looks out over the treed 10 acres of Gite Belle Vie. You may like to enjoy a picnic alongside the stream or chat around fire at the pond side fire pit.
Atención a los huéspedes
We also live on the Gite Belle Vie property in the second of it's 300 year old barns so we will be here should you need us.
We also offer catered options so if you feel like having some delicious meals prepared and delivered to your gite during your stay just let us know.
We are situated within walking distance of our local village of Sainte Marie de Campan which has a grocery store, bar, restaurant, depot de pain (bakery) etc.
Gite Belle Vie is centrally located to the Pyrenees, close to the biggest ski station in the Pyrenees, La Mongie and perfect placed to tackle the major climbs of the Tour de France, the walking and sightseeing in and around the national park that surrounds us is breathtaking.
Because there is so much to see most people opt to hire a car or drive but there is also a bus which stops a few hundred metres down our lane which is particularly useful for those who prefer to use this to pop up and down from the ski station during winter.
Otros aspectos destacables
Our gites are usually rented by the week so while a daily rate is quoted as part of the Airbnb site design we are only available for bookings of 3 nights or more.
Sorry but we do not cater for pets.
All the gites are non-smoking, you're of course welcome to smoke on your patio and use the ash tray provided.
Gites are self catered and are expected to be left as you'd like to find them, clean and free from rubbish. Rubbish collection points are on the main route a few hundred metres away as is common in rural France.

After years in the hustle and bustle of management consultancy and running companies for Eric and mental health work for Angela led to us looking for a change of pace and lifestyle.
Gite Belle Vie provided a place to escape to the tranquillity and beauty of the area and enjoy the outdoor activities that abound around us. We bought what is now Gite Belle Vie at the end of 2012, the 3 gites are situated in a converted traditional stone barn that's around 300 years old. We are situated in a haven of tranquillity a few hundred metres of the main route between Bagneres de Bigorre and our local village of Sainte Marie de Campan, For winter time visitors the largest ski station in the Pyrenees, La Mongie is just 14k up the road or the cross country skiing area of Payolle is about 8k away. From Spring through autumn the area around us turns into a haven for cyclists, walkers, countless adventure sports activities, beautiful countryside, birds and so much more.
The authentic stone building allows you to enjoy the character of an ancient barn updated and modernised to provide sumptuous accommodation to enjoy after your day of activity. We love sharing Gite Belle Vie with people who appreciate the combination of an amazing environment along accommodation and hospitality that we strive to keep better than usually found but please check out what our wonderful guests have to say about us on TripAdvisor.
On the personal side of things ....
Angela is the most welcoming of hosts, is a bit of a mercenary when it comes to keeping things spic and span, enjoys cooking, the occasional glass of wine ...
Eric is a bit of a keen cyclist, could the fact that Tourmalet, Aspin and so many famous climbs from the Tour de France surround have had an influence on the location of Gite Belle Vie? ... I'd have to say yes I'm afraid...
