Dear Manish, I are very sorry you were not entirely happy during your stay. Due to the unforseen natural disaster in form of the Cyclone Gita, many things were out of our control and communication was difficult as phone and internet was on and off due to storm damage. If the road had not been safe or there would have been a danger of more mud slides, I would not have had you come to our place. We checked with the council about the safety of the roads prior to allowing guests to come to us. There was one road which was closed, however these were not the directions given by me and it is unfortunate that a road worker told you to drive this way, as he should have known better than anyone that the road over the Marahau hill was inaccessible.
Part of the charm of our accommodation is the rural and secluded area we live in. I apologize if this was not as you expected. Thank you very much for your feedback, we will take these points into consideration in order to improve for future guests. I hope you had a pleasant onward journey in New Zealand and I wish you all the best for your future travels.
