Just for the record, i copy paste the comment we made following your stay so that future guests get hold of the context :
We were very happy to welcome Nils and his lovely family for two weeks from the 4th to the 18th of august. It seems that they have enjoyed the pool with their kids, and all the area of the Lodge during their first week.
After 3 days, Nils told us about a mouse that made some noises and left some little “droppings” in the kitchen. He commented himself that it could happen in the countryside (especially with doors left open with the heat) and that his wife “could not really relax as she grew up in a city”.
We managed to have a quick response with some poison tablets. The day after, apparently the mouse was still there, (it takes usually more than one day for the poison to be effective), therefore we proposed to Nils an ultrasonic machine that we ordered on the internet on the saturday. Since the delivery was due on the following Tuesday because of the week end, I managed to borrow this kind of system from a neighbour, which I planned to give Nils on the sunday morning. But in the meantime, Nils and his family had left during night time...
We are sorry that this mouse disrupted their stay, which led us to refund partly their second week. And we hope that they were able to enjoy the rest of their holidays.
However, we would like to precise that it is the first time in 10 years of activity that we have this complaint and tried to do our best to be reactive. Also, after Nils' departure, I checked several times for any mouse or droppings, but I saw or heard nothing, and neither did the families who rented our cottage after the 18th or before the 4th of august.
We wish to assure all our next guests that we take care of the property and hygiene of our place.
