Información sobre este anuncio
Grace Place is secluded, peaceful and private. It is situated on 12 acres in Glass House Mountains, with easy access to the mountains, local beaches and Australia Zoo.
We have a beautiful place - secluded, peaceful and refreshing. The driveway meanders through our front paddock, across a delightful permanent creek, to our very private home set in tropical gardens, surrounded by natural bush land, abundant wildlife and a salt water in-ground swimming pool.We live on 12 acres in Glass House Mountains. Our house is a large (and fully restored) 1920’s Queenslander style home, built with tongue and groove inside and chamfer board outside. The house (upstairs) has polished floors, decorative archways, plaster ceiling roses, period lighting and french doors leading to the front verandah and rear deck.
Servicios y zonas comunes
We offer two styles of accommodation.
1. "Grace Place" is a guest room under the house with a private entrance and undercover parking. This area has a kitchenette, is tiled, air conditioned, has an en-suite and a queen size bed.
2. "Grace Place Too" (this listing) is a bedroom upstairs in the main house with a choice of either a room with a Queen Bed or a room with two Single Beds. Both rooms have fans and shared bathroom/toilet facilities.
We have a salt water in-ground swimming pool that we are happy to share with our guests. We also have a BBQ area under the house that guests are welcome to use, and another BBQ in the pool area.
Atención a los huéspedes
We would always be available to guests during their stay with us as this is our home, and we would interact with them to whatever extent that they determine. We would be willing to act as local guides but this would need to be costed separately and negotiated with guests.
We are 20 minutes from the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, 20 minutes from Maleny and the Blackall Range, less than 10 minutes to Australia Zoo, and 5 minutes from the nearest railway station with a connection to the Brisbane CBD. It is highly recommended that you have your own vehicle as it is approximately 2 kilometres to the local shops and walking paths, although on the agenda, are not yet completed.
There is a train link from the Brisbane airport to the Glass House Mountains railway station. There is a taxi service that operates within the local area, or we would be prepared to pick you up from the train station. If driving from the airport just follow the signs to the Sunshine Coast, and turn off the Bruce Highway at Exit 163 onto Steve Irwin Way. After a 10 minute drive, turn right into Bell Road.
Otros aspectos destacables
A continental breakfast is included but we are also happy to provide full meals if requested. We can also accommodate children and pets, however all these options would be costed separately, and therefore need to be discussed before the initial booking.
We live on a bush block. At times there may be slight smells caused by farm fertiliser, grey water and septic system, however this doesn't happen very often.
Our accommodation is for the adventurous and may not be for you if you are frightened of spiders and snakes (not likely), don’t like bush noises (quite likely), or don't like mozzies / mozzie bites (although we have nearly every known deterent on hand).
Other than that we have been told by many visitors that our property has a “magic” quality to it.
All rooms are non-smoking, however there are outside areas available if you are a smoker.
No illegal drugs are allowed on our property.
No events or parties
No additional guests without our consent
We would expect guests to be mindful of other people on the premises, and respect their right to a harmonious stay.

We are a retired professional couple. We both come from farming backgrounds (and still keep chooks and a veggie patch). We enjoy (?) the constant need to renovate our property and upgrade the surrounds. We have spent a large part of our lives working / travelling around Australia, sometimes house sitting , especially in WA. Since retiring we have travelled abroad to Asia, the Pacific, Europe (where we also house sat) and North America. We love travelling, travellers, and travel stories over a glass of wine.
