To be honest, stay somewhere else if you can.
We booked a transfer with the host (which is actually a rental/management/tour company called Zig Zag) from the airport in Dubrovnik to the Air BnB and provided our flight arrival details, so I mistakenly assumed that getting keys to the apartment would be easy. Not so!
The driver (who was friendly and following his own orders) dropped us outside the Old City walls. We were given no instructions about where to go after that. The four of us humped our heavy bags to the apartment address to find no one there. A kindly waiter at the restaurant next door told us where the office of Zig Zag was, but there was no one there either. When we called the number on the BnB booking, someone in Zagreb answered and seemed to have no idea what was going on or what we should do. Finally after 20 minutes of this mess after a long flight, we finally reached someone and were let in.
The apartment itself is on the fourth floor of an old building where there is frequently poop of some kind left in the hallways. Don't expect anyone to help you get your bags up there. The alley outside of the main door is where trash get collected every morning and the attic bedroom faces out onto a square with a very, um, lively, jazz band which wasn't optimal for sleeping. Some of the people we interacted with at Zig Zag were very kind and helpful, but this was on a case by case basis. Many seemed only interested in pushing their tour packages.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our overall experience.
