Its cool simplicity offers a truly comfortable and stylish way to take a break from the hustle-and-bustle of modern life.

Ideal for families or groups of up to eight people, the tastefully designed interiors lead out to the pool, and extensive decks & entertaining areas. The African sunsets can be watched from the decks and balconies of this all-wooden house overlooking the Cape Nature Reserve, where horses ride past every morning on their way to exercise on the eight km long beach and protected birds nest in the natural vegetation. Silver grey hardwood decks surround the house and pool; comfortable loungers make soaking up the sun an all-day pleasure, and the outdoor showers are a welcome way to feel refreshed after a hard day’s swimming and sunbathing.
The house has a large, peaceful and quiet indigenous garden with a path that leads directly to the white sandy beach and the surf beyond.

Guests will have access to the whole house and all it's facilities (except separate garage building) including the pool, front and back decks, garden (with direct path to the beach) and off-street parking.

Our reliable and friendly domestic worker will be there during the daytime should you need to ask about the amenities. We are only a phone call away should guests need any more detailed information.

Noordhoek is Cape Town's rural treasure, famed for its long white sandy beach, vast wetlands and ancient milkwood forest. It can be reached via Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak Drive on the Atlantic coast (voted one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world) or via Silvermine Nature Reserve.
Delicious breakfasts, evening cocktails or pizzas and beer are only a five minute stroll away at the local café or bar. For award winning restaurant cuisine, deli-cafes or a family pub with great bar-food, the local 'farm village' is the ideal place.
Only twenty minutes drive away through the Silvermine Nature Reserve lies Table Mountain and Cape Town city centre, with it's world renowned restaurants, shops, markets, clubs and vibrant nightlife.
Alternatively, take Chapman's Peak Drive for one of the world's most scenic drives, along the Atlantic coast to the city.
Cape Point, one of the southernmost tips of the African continent, is only thirty minutes drive south past the villages of Kommetjie and Scarborough.

The roads around Cape Town are world class, very well maintained and driving is on the left hand side.
Car hire is widely available from international and local companies at the airport and elsewhere.
The route to Noordhoek Beachhouse is easy, direct and avoids going through the city.
Taxis are easily available from Cape Town International Airport at approx. £30.00/EURO 40.00; the journey will take around 40 mins from the airport to Noordhoek Beachhouse.

Our semi-wild cat, who lives outside during the night and most of the day, may come to visit as he is used to being fed in the morning and evening by our domestic worker.

I fell in love with Cape Town fifteen years ago and moved to Noordhoek two years later from London, where I was born. I am a professional photographer, working internationally and specializing in interiors, architecture and lifestyle shoots for advertising and publishing clients.
My wife Nathalie is Belgian (French speaking) and studied interior architecture in Brussels before travelling the world and settling in South Africa. She now owns a fashion boutique and travels regularly overseas on buying trips. Between us we have four gorgeous children, three girls and a boy, who are all at high school or university here.
I am passionate about interior design, photography, art, social justice, travel and my family!
I honestly believe that Noordhoek is a unique place in the world today, surrounded by the ocean, mountains, and world class nature reserves and yet only a few minutes drive from one of the most beautiful vibrant and cosmopolitan cities on the planet. I am privileged to live in an awesome location - come and see for yourself!
