Hi I am Justine, I am an English Lady who lives and works in Turkey with her husband Melih in the Gokova Valley. My travelling experience, I have visited many countries in Europe also Morocco,Thailand, Dubai and Sri Lanka. I think what is important about travelling is your attitude as you arrive in your host country, you are a guest and therefore should behave as such with respect, interest and appreciation of your hosts country, culture and traditions. I think its great to see the fabulous sites in any country but what I really love best is getting off the main routes and streets and finding a local eaterie where you can soak up the atmosphere and generally have a fabulous meal of the local delicacies.
I have an eclectic taste in life for food, music, art, architecture and literature. My tastes range from Music, Reggae to Rock, Food European to African, Art, Degas to Emin, Architecture, Medival Gothic to Bauhaus and Literature, Proulx to Pamuk. Its not that I can't make up my mind I just love that life has some many different styles and facets how can not appreciate the beauty in it all!
I am a naturally hospitable person as I have chosen the restaurant trade as my career even after a busy season there is nothing I like more than entertaining friends in our beautiful converted Villa in the Hills surrounding the Gokova Valley. What is better than candle light, a roaring open fire, good food, friends and of course a good wine!
My life motto is the same as my school motto, Carpe Diem, Seize the Day.
